If anyone from Safeway management is reading this review, please pay attention to the customer experience. It’s 11:39 PM, and there is only one cashier/register open, while all the self-checkout registers are closed. This is not good management. You have all the data to know what times have higher customer demand. Please use that information to schedule enough employees and keep more registers open when needed. Customers should not have to waste their time standing in a long cashier line, especially when there are plenty of checkout stations available. Please improve the staffing and checkout service. Customers deserve better service and a better experience.

Terrible customer service. I paid for sushi, stepped back inside to grab a free soy sauce packet, and an employee rushed across the store to intercept and accuse me. When I showed my receipt, the employee didn't even apologize, just turned around and walked away. I’ve seen people grab deli sandwiches and walk straight out the door with zero confrontation, but staff here has no problem cornering paying customers they know won't cause a scene.

I have bad experience today with the cashier assisting me today ,I’m a frequent client at that Safeway because is closer to my house , the cashier Vicky was rude to me at first she threw the grocery divider to my brother in law . Than she ask me how many bags I needed, I say 2 is fine thank you she looked at me and said only 2??? How about the other stuff , I said I will just put it on the cart (it was cereal boxes and milk). She continue scanning throwing the cereal boxes to the side , when she finish scanning she was just looking at me showing an attitude look when I took out my WIC card to pay , so my sister step up and started packing my groceries. I don’t want to said it but she felt racist to me since i was speaking Spanish with my family . At first she seemed nice to the person ahead of me , that’s why it made me feel that all customers aren’t the same for her .

Diana was seriously so sweet and helpful, I came in to get my flowers put together today. Even though she was busy she made time for me. Her co worker kept telling her how she shouldn’t have agreed to help with my flowers because maybe they were busy, but honestly I hope Diana gets noticed by management she’s very helpful and sweet and cares about her customers.

This is the WORST Safeway I have ever been to, for a few reasons. 1. The customer service is terrible. There are a handful of helpful employees, but the majority I have interacted with make no effort to provide any assistance and have a bad attitude on top of that. Help me out or have a bad attitude, you can't have both especially when working a customer service job. 2. Expired product is constantly on the shelves. I have to inspect every item I pick up just to make sure it isn't expired. Last time I was there there was milk that had expired in early July, and it was mid August. I understand it is not illegal, but there is an issue somewhere down the line when you are the only Safeway I experience this with. 3. The Safeway App Coupons are never set up correctly. The coupons you scan for bargains in store almost never work correctly. It shows you a deal in person that the App does not register. It is unprofessional to put out these deal markers out, only to not honor them in person. Grocery stores are a necessity so obviously local people will still come in, but that should be no excuse to run the kind of operation they are running here. Go to any other local Safeway and you will absolutely see the difference. Hopefully feedback can have an impact, and not just lead to the canned Safeway Customer Service AI response.
