    If you’re dropping ~$25 at a McDonald’s, it’s fair to expect basic professionalism and a smooth experience. What you’re describing—long waits in the heat, melted items, attitude from staff—that’s not just “a busy day,” that’s a breakdown in how the place is being run. A few things could be going on behind the scenes (not excuses, just context): • Management change – New leadership can really shake up operations, sometimes for the worse before it stabilizes. • Staffing issues – A lot of locations are understaffed or relying on newer employees who aren’t fully trained yet. • High volume + poor systems – If that’s the only location in a wealthy, high-traffic area like Discovery Bay, they might be overwhelmed and not set up to handle it properly. • Culture shift – When customer service starts slipping across the board, it’s usually a top-down issue, not just one rude employee. That said, none of that makes it okay for you to be treated like that—especially the attitude when you’re just trying to use a coupon. That’s literally part of their business model.

    They have the 2 lanes at this location Waited in drive thru line to order in line 1, guy took 2 orders from line 2, I drove up cause I thought line 1 sensor was broke. Guy wouldnt let me order and expected me to go back through after waiting for the cars in front of me and the new lines forming? If they cant get something as simple as a order line right dont trust them with your food. I got subway instead...its right next door better customer service.
