This Albertsons is amazing. The 4u deals are spot on and are a pretty good deal. The staff is also really nice. If you need to use the restroom the code is 159357 but the restroom is not the cleanest. The options for produce and meats are better than most other stores. The closest store to this is stater brothers.

This Albertsons location is within walking distance of my home — something that used to feel like a small blessing. It is the kind of convenience I genuinely looked forward to. That is what makes what I am about to describe so difficult to write. Unfortunately, after repeated experiences here, I have started to feel uncomfortable and anxious about shopping at this location. This is not based on one isolated incident, and I do not write any of this lightly. Over multiple visits, I have noticed a difference in the way I and people with me have been treated compared to white customers in the same checkout lines. I understand these situations can be difficult to describe. But when the same pattern happens across different visits and different employees, it becomes hard to ignore and harder to keep dismissing. During one recent visit, a new checkout lane opened while I was waiting in line. The customer ahead of me appeared to move toward the new lane but then stood still. When I stepped forward, she bumped into my shoulder and rolled her eyes when I quietly asked whether she wanted to go first. I did not say anything more. I just stood there, not sure what I had done wrong, feeling embarrassed and degraded. On another visit, I came with a friend who is also POC. We were the only POC customers in the checkout line. Before our turn, the cashier was smiling, cheerful, and friendly with the customers ahead of us. When we stepped forward, her demeanor changed immediately. We smiled, greeted her politely, and remained courteous throughout the transaction. In return, we received no greeting, no warmth, and very little acknowledgment. I kept wondering if I had done something wrong. The way our groceries were handled also added to the discomfort. Several items were pushed or dropped onto the counter with unnecessary force. At one point, the milk carton nearly collapsed, and other items were placed on top of a bag of snacks in a way that looked as though it might burst. It felt careless, and it added to an already uncomfortable moment. I did not say anything. On the verge of tears, I just wanted to finish and leave. I have spoken with friends and neighbors from different ethnic backgrounds, and several shared that they have noticed similar differences in treatment at this location. Some said they would rather drive farther to Chino Hills or Walnut to shop at another Vons or Albertsons than deal with the experiences they associate with this store. Hearing that made me feel both validated and sad — because if others are quietly driving farther away rather than speaking up, something meaningful may be getting lost here. I have already submitted two separate complaints through Albertsons’ official Contact Us page and received responses to both. I was told the matter is being reviewed, and I appreciate that. However, while I wait for an actual resolution, I am the one changing my routine — I now find myself choosing to drive to Target or another store even farther away just to complete an ordinary errand without anxiety. This store is close enough that I could walk here on a summer evening. The fact that I no longer feel I can do that is the part that genuinely hurts. I am not writing this to make trouble or to harm anyone’s livelihood. I am writing because I am tired, and because a neighborhood grocery store should feel like an ordinary, respectful place — and this one no longer does for me and the people I shop with. I am not looking for a generic response or another direction to the Contact Us page. I have already used that process twice. I am hoping for a real acknowledgment, a thorough review, and meaningful steps to make sure all customers are treated with the same basic courtesy and respect.

It’s the closest store to my house. They don’t know what I’m looking for, and some of the staff they are friendly. Some aren’t so.

I like shopping here, but truthfully the service just isn’t it. Cashiers don’t seem to know what good customer service is. In particular cashier by the name of Mary Margaret I believe, doesn’t say a word at all. Just scans and seems to be in a bad mood. Not a hello or thank you or even a “your total is”.
