- DOD OBJun 30, 20261.0Online shopping Last time some produce items were bad-moldy berries, grapes half empty. Missing item. Delivery driver sent me text saying that I should give her a bigger tip because there were so many bags. Scummy delivery driver. Unsafe. Most likely dirty. My groceries in this individual’s car. Bags looked like a dog attacked them! Multiple items damaged. Recent order Two steaks expensive and several days old, brown and green areas on steak. Toughest steaks I’ve ever had in my life. Romaine stalks brown. Couldn’t use for Caesar salad. Safeway online most of the time has old, bad quality produce and inferior protein-meat, chicken, fish -even have had issues with bread! They have old food out and shoppers choose old, inferior produce and protein. They wouldn’t refund. They don’t stand behind their products. Customer service agents don’t even speak English well. That’s a job where you need to speak English well. Good God Plenty of other stores around. Safeway gouges-so expensive and crappy. Bad customer service. Not a good way to run a business!

Not even the fake ones. Management seems bothered when I have brought it up , but in California dogs in a grocery store is 100 percent illegal unless it’s a service animal. All other stores I go to have a sign at the door which is at least an attempt to prevent this . FYY: I love dogs just not where I buy food. Safeway do better .
