  My family and I have been coming to Avila’s El Ranchito in Costa Mesa since 2010, and throughout all these years we have celebrated countless birthdays, family gatherings, and special moments here. Every single time, we leave beyond pleased with both the food and the incredible hospitality. This restaurant is truly special to our family, not just because of the amazing food, but because of the wonderful people who make it feel like home. Not only is the food consistently delicious, but the portions are always satisfying and the prices for the entrées are reasonable. It is refreshing to find a restaurant that continues to provide both quality food and great value while maintaining such warm hospitality. There are three individuals in particular who deserve special recognition. First, Don Salvador. His captivating smile immediately makes everyone feel welcomed the moment they walk through the doors. His eyes reflect the kindness and goodness that he carries inside. He holds a very special place in our hearts because of something our family will never forget. One day, my wife came into the restaurant in tears after receiving the heartbreaking news that her mother had been diagnosed with pancreatic cancer. Don Salvador noticed immediately and came over to ask what was wrong. The moment he learned about the situation, he went straight into “dad mode.” He comforted my wife with compassion, encouragement, positivity, and words of wisdom that have stayed in our minds and hearts ever since. We truly want him to know how much his kindness meant to us during one of the most difficult moments in our lives. Second, Doña Estelita. She makes the BEST handmade tortillas, and every time we visit she goes out of her way to spoil us with her delicious tortillas. Her tortillas are one of the many reasons we have continued coming back for so many years. You can taste the love and tradition in every bite. Lastly, Agustin, who we believe is the manager. He has always been welcoming, attentive, and willing to help in any way possible. He creates such a positive atmosphere that the service always feels smooth, warm, and efficient. His leadership clearly reflects throughout the restaurant. Avila’s El Ranchito is more than just a restaurant to our family...it is a place filled with memories, comfort, kindness, and incredible people. Thank you for over a decade of wonderful experiences. We look forward to many more years of celebrations with all of you. We strongly recommend visiting this wonderful Mexican restaurant. If you are looking for delicious authentic food, generous portions, reasonable prices, and genuinely caring people, Avila’s El Ranchito is truly a special place.

  Hector was our server tonight. It was cinco de mayo, he was so willing to help and he was so kind!! Thank you Hector! The ambiance was wonderful and the food was amazing!!

  I happen to be in the area and decided to stop on for lunch. Ooof delicious!!! I had the Aztec burrito, yum! And Dulce loves up to her name: very sweet, attentive, and helpful!
