Every time I order my sandwiches from the app I always put a special instruction to not toast my bread and ask to only toast the chicken. But alas this is another location that does not read instructions at all. I know it can be done. I have gotten the bread not toasted before and just the chicken toasted. But it seems that every location does not read instructions. So it baffles me. Hard bread is not good at all and ruins my appetite and is a waste of money when the location cannot read simple instructions.

On August 3, I visited the Subway on Archibald Ave., and left disappointed by both the customer service and the overall experience. The problems started with the self service kiosk. The ordering process was not intuitive, and my friend and I struggled to complete our order. We were the only customers in the restaurant when we arrived, yet three other customers walked in after us and received their orders first because we were still trying to figure out the kiosk. After placing our order, I asked for the restroom key. Both employees were busy cleaning equipment and preparing sandwiches and told me to “wait a minute.” One appeared to be the manager. Their tone was abrupt and dismissive. Neither employee ever brought me the key. Another customer later requested the restroom key and received the same response. Neither of us was able to use the restroom or even wash our hands before eating. While my sandwich was being prepared, the manager began sweeping the floor directly around the food preparation area. Watching dust being stirred up next to my open sandwich was unappetizing and raised concerns about basic food handling practices. While waiting, I also observed another customer attempting to exchange the bag of chips included with his meal. He was told he could only receive the exact chips selected through the kiosk. There was no effort to accommodate a simple request, even though the chips had not been opened. Finally, when my friend reached for a cup from the stack, the sandwich maker sharply told him that only employees were allowed to touch the cups. While I understand the importance of food safety procedures, the interaction came across as unnecessarily rude. The entire visit felt focused on enforcing rules instead of serving customers. Poorly designed ordering technology, dismissive service, limited flexibility, and questionable food handling practices combined to create one of the worst Subway experiences I have had. I hope corporate reviews this location’s customer service standards, kiosk experience, and food handling practices. Based on this visit, I cannot recommend this Subway. If this becomes the standard customer experience across the brand, I would choose Jersey Mike’s instead.

Waseem is one of the hardest-working people I’ve seen. He is a true hustler who never stops moving, even during the busiest rushes. I watched him take care of every customer quickly, politely, and with genuine professionalism. Despite the pressure, he stayed calm, friendly, and made sure everyone was well taken care of. His work ethic, efficiency, and positive attitude truly stand out. Excellent job, Waseem your dedication does not go unnoticed!
