  Be careful with pickup orders that have more than seven or eight items. About half the time, they’ll leave something out. This has already happened to me four or five times.

  I stopped by on my way home to pick up brunch for the kids. I should have used the drive-thru; going inside the restaurant was a mistake. Even though 20 minutes had passed since the time printed on my ticket, my order still wasn’t ready, so I asked an employee when it would be ready. Two other customers waiting in line asked the same thing. The employee just asked for my ticket number and went into the kitchen. There was no further explanation. After waiting another 10 minutes—making it a total of 30 minutes—I asked why it still wasn’t ready. The employee apologized, saying it was because they were understaffed, and asked for my number again. When I showed him the ticket, he went into the kitchen, took the ticket with my number off the board, and brought it out in just one minute, gathering everything in a hurry. If he had just checked the ticket in the kitchen, they could have brought it out in a minute. Come to think of it, it seemed like all the staff except for one were just taking drive-thru orders and passing them along. Thirty minutes at a fast-food restaurant? That’s truly a record.

  I have always been patient with this McDonald's. But today irritated me by charging me for the wrong order, then charging me again for mine, and telling me my refund will take 5 business days. And the "manager" is so dismissive that they did not care about an apology. horrible customer service 04/16/2026 3:46 pm
