This Cava in Chino was extremely skimpy on the food. I didn't get my two dips that was supposed to be in my bowl. I would not recommend this Cava, especially if you order online.

It's a Mediterranean Chipotle! If it's not busy all the food sure there and dries out which was my situation. I generally love harissa but the harissa chicken was dried out and salty. They were low on cucumber toppings so every time the guy scooped a lot of liquid went into the bowl. The fried pita chip was delicious. It was almost $40 for two people which made the experience worse. The Mexican diet Coke tasted like medicine. I love the concept but execution was not there.

Horrible place! Rude, disrespectful staff and management. Placed an order online - not through the app - and selected 745pm as our pick up time. That time was selected because that’s when we would arrive and did not have time to wait as we were headed to the hospital because my father was dying in hospice. We received a text saying our food would be ready at 739pm. We hoped our food would be hot. Upon picking up the food, the food was cold. We didn’t have time to wait for them to remake our food so I went back in and requested a refund. I was told they don’t issue refunds for online orders and I’d have to request it through the app. I told them I ordered online, I don’t have the app. This made them angry and aggressive. My fiancé called me and I explained the situation to him while trying to ask for help with the refund. They just wanted to push me out of the store. I deserve a refund. So I pushed for them to share exactly how to go about the process. At that point, my fiancé came in and asked why there was an issue with the refund. Immediately the 2 women managers exploded with anger towards him. He literally asked a question. Now our refund doesn’t matter….now the issue is that my fiancé had an issue and was requesting help. They clearly did not want to help us. We redirected the conversation back to the refund and they said they already told us what to do. I said they showed me nothing. As the younger manager was telling me how to navigate their website, crew members started staring and saying comments. My fiancé said multiple times that the workers had no reason interjecting themselves into our private conversation. The younger manager had a problem with that and tried to act like he was screaming at her. No one screamed nor yelled. The older manager asked us to move out of the service area. The second we started moving, one female employee bumped me on my hip aggressively as she pushed past me. Both I and my fiancé said that was disrespectful and completely unnecessary and uncalled for. Her excuse was “I said excuse me 4 times.” I told them I previously worked in food service and this is not how you handle any situation. She literally assaulted me. My fiancé asked why they were not properly trained and not carrying on with their normal tasks, but instead were more worried and concerned about us getting our refund. And, in turn, the staff became more agitated…crew members were giving us dirty looks and involving themselves verbally (abrasively) in our conversation with the 2 “managers” on duty. The crew member that bumped into me had to be taken to the back because she started screaming and threatening us. The younger manager threatened to call security. I told her to call security so we could sort this out. The older manager asked us to leave, and had to tell the younger manager to go in the back. These people have no self control nor customer service skills. I don’t know how they got hired! I said I need to know how to request the refund. She said I told you. My fiancé asked the things I needed, the manager listed them saying I had them, and I said no I don’t. The older manager then said she’d go outside with us and help us complete the request. Although she helped, she was combative and just flat out had a problem with my fiancé for no reason. We came in for food, ordered with a specific pick up time, they decided to ignore our request and have our food ready early (everyone will wait for hot food!), upon arrival our food was cold, we had a time sensitive situation with my dying father at the hospital, all we requested was a refund and the proper process for that refund. It turned into much more that was inappropriate and unprofessional - and illegal - for any business. At this point a refund is not enough. That employee literally assaulted me. I had every right to defend myself, but I’m clearly the bigger person for keeping a cool, calm demeanor and not lashing out at anyone. She even threatened my fiancé that she would call her husband. Who are these people? These are the people you employ?

It was my friend's first time at Cava and Marissa and Lily were incredibly kind and quick to get us our meal despite the rush. The store was very busy and overwhelming, yet they were sweet and very kind when we asked to change our order. Thank you so much!
