Soo yummy. Had the veggie empanada with puerto rican rice a salad and sweet plantains. 10/10 delicious. Great service and music. I am glad they had the music playing because I didn’t know that they were upstairs. I was looking for a place to eat and nothing in the store looked good but the Puerto Rican music was Blair and I said why would they play Puerto Rican music and Puerto Rican food there? . I am so glad that they play the music and they are there. The food is delicious. I will definitely go back.

The only place I can go to in the East Bay area outside of (probably) Oakland that has Puerto Rican food. As a Dominican from New York City, this is the closest I can get to authenticity here in the Bay Area. Great place to eat, my fiancée and I come here at least once a month to eat.
Their Pollo Guisado (stewed chicken) is tender, juicy and flavorful, their Tostones (double fried plantains) are to die for and my favorite appetizer or side to any dish. Definitely dip those in their mayo-ketchup sauce or their cilantro lime sauce (not sure if it's cilantro lime but still so good).
AND!! They have Malta India! Definitely is an acquired taste for those of us from Dominican Republic or Puerto Rico, but if you like it, you'll love it! If you never tried that drink before, give it a try, you never know.
My only problem is their menu isn't larger! I LOVE Puerto Rican food and I wish I saw more on their menu! Hopefully when more people come to visit and check this place out, their business grows and they can get a little more diverse with their menu!
Please check this place out! You won't regret it.
