I thought the food and service were great. Exceeded my expectation of what I'd expected from a small, local hamburger establishment. Everything in California is expensive so is the minimum wage. You can absolutely find a lesser quality meal cheaper, if you're not looking for quality, go there.

We've been trying to get over here for years!
Deceitful name… Their burger and fries are great too!
We came just before the lunch rush on a weekday.
I came in not sure what to expect of a freeze. We got a small freeze, which can have up to three flavors. We got orange, peach, and mango. Man each flavor was fantastic.
Orange slightly bitter with a strong orange flavor coming through. The peach and mango were a nice complement as they were very sweet and helped cut up some of the bitterness of the orange between bites. Each flavor like I said was great. I didn’t know freezes were this super soft, yet dense and flavor filled ice. I have no idea why you’d have conventional shaved ice if you could get a freeze like this, made with real fruit flavors instead of synthetic syrups.
The Hagen Burger and side of small fries were cooked to perfection. We ate inside and it was served on a ceramic plate. The burger had a nice crispy layer and was still juicy. I haven’t had a smash burger, but I imagine that’s what it’s like. It had a nice char grilled flavor to it and my choice of monterey jack went well with it. The fries had a perfectly crispy exterior and a soft pillowy interior. The fries are somewhat thick cut. They have quite a range of sauces on a table inside to offer, as well as standard ketchup, mustard, and salt and pepper shakers.
Tip: Don’t forget to add salt! The fries seem to come out either unsalted or relatively low salt, which I think is better anyways for customers to salt to taste.
I have to say, probably one of the better burgers I’ve eaten at a restaurant, and one of the few places I’d go out to eat a burger, other than In-N-Out. Also, it’s one of the few places I believe truly deserves a high star rating for the quality of food I had that day.
Total cost came to about $21, which is not bad at all these days for the quality and quantity of food I had.
I was drawn in by their best orange freeze sign outside and I was not disappointed.
The freeze is sooo soft and satisfyingly dense. We tried orange, mango, and peach and all the flavors tasted just like the fruit. I was a lot more impressed than I was with the Gunther’s version, which is good too.
I also tried and enjoyed the hagens burger! It tasted like.. a REAL burger. Solid, good burger.
I would love to eat here every week, I want to try everything. The workers are all nice young men. They have a nice selection of sauces in the back. Lots of seating indoors and outdoors.

Would go all the time as a lil kid, and was real happy to see it still there after 10 years. The freezes tasted exactly how I remembered them too, and the food has that perfect upgrade where you can tell it's freshly made instead of reheated like fast food does.
