Absolutely beautiful view but awful for disabled individuals. Wonderful view and incredible food. Comes with bread and butter. I went on mothers day so it was honestly way too loud for me but I am assuming that is just because it was a holiday. Our waitress was cortial, not nice...but she dealt with us. She was quite annoyed I was asking for water over and over so I even clarified, "I'm sorry. I am just having a super bad migraine so hopefully the water helps." The design of the 2 story restaurant is lovely but also, handicapped individuals are supposed to walk in the very center behind multiple staff members and people carrying drinks and food. It seemed extremely dangerous and if I was not walking in front of my grandma and her walker, a staff member would have crashed into her walking down the ramp too quick.

Walked in from the beach after hiking for a bit. The valet welcomed me in even though I was in shorts, a tee-shirt, and sandals. They had a good weekday special of a cocktail and taco for $15. And a beautiful view of the ocean. Wait staff were friendly also. Great stop!

Made reservations here for Mother’s Day. We always love going to the chart house, but today I think they were just overwhelmed with the crowd. The place was uncomfortably hot, even with reservations. It took forever to get our table. Our order was wrong , Took forever, and the prime rib was over cooked. The food and service here are usually really great. I just think they were having a bad day! .

We had a fantastic evening at Chart House in Cardiff! We came in with a large group, and the experience was seamless from start to finish. The atmosphere is hard to beat, especially with those views as the sun goes down. As for the food…oh my! A few of us ordered the Swordfish, and it was absolutely phenomenal. Perfectly cooked, fresh, and full of flavor. It’s easily one of the highlights of the menu. Whether you’re looking for a great spot for a celebration or just a high-quality seafood dinner, this place delivers. Highly recommend!

Let’s start with the basics. We sat down and waited five minutes before anyone brought water. My daughter’s water glass was taken away and never replaced with a kids cup. After 15 minutes with nothing to drink, I had to walk up to the hostess stand myself to ask. Her ordered soda came another 10 minutes after that. A child sitting at a table with no drink for 25 minutes. That alone tells you the level of service we’re talking about. Forty minutes in, they brought the wrong bottle of wine. Five more minutes to get the right one. The manager apparently had the key to retrieve it, but never came to our table to acknowledge the mistake or massive delay. Not a word. Remember that, because it becomes a pattern. And the whole time with no wine? No food was there either. Just sitting and attempting to entertain kids with crayons while they ask for their drinks and their food over and over. My wife ordered swordfish. They brought her sea bass. Once they corrected it, the swordfish was overcooked and came with a pasta side that looked and tasted like it was microwaved. My steak came with potatoes that had zero seasoning. No salt, no pepper on the table to fix it myself. By the time the server came back around so I could ask for seasoning, everything was cold. Also, I was never given a steak knife. The steak was tough enough that cutting it with a dinner knife was a genuine struggle. I won’t get elaborate on the flavor. It was plain bad. And to make it better, my daughter’s burger came out burnt. They comped the kids burger and dessert, which sounds generous until you realize one dessert was already included with our hotel stay and the other was part of my meal price. So they comped a couple things we were already getting. Thanks for comping the $15 kids meal that wasn’t edible, though. Their signature lava cake requires a 30-minute advance order, which we did. It came out cold. No lava. Dense, dry cake. If I’m told to order 30 minutes ahead for a signature dessert, make it at least hot. You could buy and microwave something better from the freezer aisle at Aldi. The dining room was incredibly loud on top of all of this, making an already frustrating evening even harder to enjoy. Here’s what really sealed it: the manager never once came to our table. Every quality steakhouse we go to (1-2 per month), the manager makes rounds. Checks in. Makes sure you’re taken care of. This manager clearly knew the wheels were coming off their entire dining room and chose to stay planted at the corner of the kitchen chatting with the executive chef instead of facing us or any customers. She never went to check the quality of service at any tables the entire hour and a half we were there. This restaurant has one of the most beautiful oceanfront locations in the area. It’s a shame it’s completely wasted on an operation this poorly run. We will never be back, and I’d encourage anyone reading this to spend their money somewhere that respects your time, your family, and the price tag on the menu.
