We were busy packing our fancy clothes and dreaming blissful thoughts about ditching our kids when the restaurant notified us that they were cancelling our reservation. Why would they cancel 2 days before our departure when we have no chance to get another reservation? Was there a fire? Was Napa ravaged by a zombie apocalypse?? No! "Unfortunately, we have a full restaurant buyout on that date and will be unable to accommodate your reservation." Ah, a crypto bro or tech oligarch wanted the restaurant instead. Totally understand. What's a small celebration about 15 years of love next to a lucrative full restaurant buyout. Maybe we can sit in the parking lot at French Laundry and share a burger.

They canceled our reservation for our 15 year wedding anniversary 4 days before our booking when it is nearly impossible to get other reservations at that time. Their excuse? They got a full restaurant buyout. Fine dining establishments like this know people are coming to celebrate big life milestones and people really look forward to it. For them to be able to charge you if you cancel less than 72 hrs in advance but no qualms canceling on you just before - shows that they don't care about the personal experience and the meaningful life celebrations coming into their restaurant. They care about money. I learned my lesson and won't be booking here again.
- JLJulia LeyzarovichMay 9, 20261.0After I called the restaurant a month in advance to confirm that they would be open and made a reservation on open table for a special birthday dinner, the restaurant called me four days out to ask to reschedule to an earlier time. After I agreed, they sent me a message through the open table system notifying that my reservation has been cancelled due to an unforeseen event, which they claimed was someone doing a complete buyout of the restaurant. So if you want to be sure that you will be able to have a nice dinner on the date you want, chose a different establishment.

It made the night so much more special ❤️ The head chef Louis came by and it was so nice speaking to him about the dishes the waygu was my favorite of course but the sous vide guinea hen was amazing as well. Breanna our main server offered great drink recommendations and helped capture the memories of our night. One of the best dining experiences I've ever had.
