- MWMarian Wolfe5 days ago5.0I have been shopping at the Andronicos market on Shattuck in Berkeley for decades. I especially appreciate that I can request "special" items. Here is an example from today: I wanted lean stew meat for a large party, and called ahead to the butcher department. The 3.5 pounds of meat was just wonderful. I arranged this through Carlos, who then had Victor cut the meat.

Every time I come in, he’s working hard, helping customers, keeping everything moving smoothly, and still being friendly to everyone. Even when it’s super busy, he always stays calm and goes above and beyond to make sure people are taken care of. You can tell he genuinely cares about doing a good job and helping both customers and his coworkers. Employees like him are the reason people keep coming back.

Making him a manager was a huge mistake. In difficult situations, you expect a manager to help resolve the issue not create even more problems. Thank you for your response. I don’t want any trouble for Ian. he seems like a good guy overall. I just think he should pay more attention to his attitude and the way he communicates with customers.
- JJJWMay 6, 20261.0Very disappointing experience at this Andronico’s Community Markets. Be careful about parking here!!! The sign clearly states that customers can park for up to one hour, but I was inside shopping for only about 20 minutes and still came back to find a ticket on my car. This staff will deliberately issue tickets just to make money! This feels extremely unfair and misleading. Customers should not have to worry about getting ticketed while legitimately shopping within the posted time limit. I would strongly advise others to double-check parking rules or reconsider shopping here if enforcement is this aggressive and inconsistent.
