  Super easy to place an online order for pickup. The fried chicken wrap was sooo flavorful and good. The 4 piece meal is super crispy. Would highly recommend this lunch spot! The actual Aburaya is just past the bar within Spats. This place is in downtown Berkeley so parking is extremely limited, wouldn't recommend if you can avoid it.

  Great lunch spot inside a punk bar. The chicken is delicious and the salad dressing is absolutely great.

  The food is so good, the prices are affordable, and the owner is so kind. They deserve all of the business! I got the 2-piece chicken combo with the garlic miso dry dust. It comes with two beautifully fried, good-sized pieces of juicy chicken thigh over rice, some chopped cabbage and a light salad. For the price, the portion was awesome! They also have many interesting side dishes I want to try!

  The chicken thighs that they deep fry are very tiny. At the real Aburaya in Oakland when you get a piece you're like, "Woah!!!! Where did they find a chicken this big??" but here you can tell they've cut the thighs into small pieces before deep frying them. It feels like a ripoff because the prices are the same in both locations. The first time that I came in to the Aburaya at Spats, I ordered two pieces and they said "Oh, we gave you an extra piece because the pieces are kinda small," like it was a one time fluke. But, having been there probably seven times at this point, I can tell you it's no fluke. It's consistent and it's intentional.

  What an amazing lunch addition to the neighborhood! The friend chicken with dry miso over rice is DELICIOUS and the BEST DEAL in town. We will be using our loyalty stamp card a lot. Run, don't walk.
