  for starters every sonic in bakersfield is straight dog water your gonna wait 30 minutes or more just for some food and a drink and if you get just any ice cream you’ll wait a decade before you even get it because they only got maybe 1 cashier and 1 cook at every location so they can make every customer wait never be back at any location that sonic is at what a waste of time and money just straight hot dog garbage 🔥🐶🗑️

  Always always gotta ask for condiments even if you put it on the app they wont give you it. On top they will try to charge for additional condiments even tho you missing yours Order food 30 mins before and still had to wait additional 10 mind

  It’s really hit or miss at this Sonic. I only ever order one large drink, and it’s the exact same order every time. Some days it’s brought out within a couple of minutes, and other days I’m left waiting forever. Today I placed a mobile order and checked in at 3:13 during my 30-minute lunch break. There was a car broken down in the drive-thru, which I completely understand can slow things down. But while I was waiting, I watched multiple cars that arrived after me get their orders and leave. Some of them had several drinks and food, while I was still waiting on one large drink. After about 20 minutes, I pressed the button and told the employee I’d been waiting. She responded that, as I could see, there was a broken-down car and they were trying to go as fast as they could. I understood that, but it didn’t explain why everyone else was getting served while I continued to be overlooked. I watched more orders being brought out, so I pressed the button again and asked for a refund because I had already spent almost my entire lunch waiting. Only then did someone finally bring out my drink and tell me they were refunding it. The refund didn’t fix the situation. I ended up late getting back to work, and I couldn’t even enjoy the drink because I’m not allowed to have drinks in my work area. My entire lunch break was wasted waiting for one drink. Another frustrating thing about this location is that they don’t sell bags of ice. The Sonic on the east side and the Rosedale location both do, so I don’t understand why this one doesn’t. It’s inconvenient when the other locations offer it. I also have to admit that by the time I pressed the button the second time, I wasn’t very friendly because I was so frustrated. After that interaction, it honestly made me question whether I even wanted to drink what I was handed. That’s not a feeling any customer should leave with. Unfortunately, I can’t recommend this location. It’s frustrating because it’s the closest Sonic to both my home and my job, but the service is too inconsistent to count on, especially if you’re on a time limit.
