We were also missing 4 milkshakes and 1 pineapple dragonfruit sprite. They came with our 3 milkshakes and the drangonfruit sprite. We told them we were missing the milkshake and the 3 kids fries. They came with the milkshake and the one kids fry. We proceeded to wait in the pick up area, they came and asked us what we needed. But at this point we had told them several times. To the cashier and the employees. Instead they were all talking and leaning forward in the kitchen counter taking to the cooks. We waited more than 15 minutes for just 2 kids fries, (small fries). For the last time they asked us and we had told wait an additional 10 minutes. We decided to order a large fry, inside to the table. The manager delivered the tray with the fry, just dropping the tray. If it weren’t for our reflexes, the tray would have dropped alongside the fry.
- NNNormElkAug 26, 20265.0I visited the new Chico Chick-fil-A at around 1:00 p.m., approximately two weeks after it opened. Overall, I had a very good experience and am glad we finally have one in Chico. The food was fresh, tasty, and properly cooked. It was slightly salty for my taste, but that is simply a personal preference. The employees were friendly, helpful, and working well together. Several managers were also on the floor assisting customers and checking to see whether anyone needed anything. I especially appreciated that they offer a military discount. The restaurant and restroom were extremely clean. There is plenty of seating, including a nice community table that seats six people. The shaded outdoor seating area also has fans, misters, and heaters, making it more comfortable throughout the year. My only real concern was the menu boards. The lettering seemed very small, and I had difficulty reading the menu while standing in line—even after reaching the register. Larger or easier-to-read menu displays would be a helpful improvement. The drive-through was busy, with approximately 14 to 16 cars when I was there, but the outside staff appeared to be managing traffic efficiently. It has two lanes that merge as vehicles proceed around the building. The restaurant also has an EV charging station, which is a thoughtful addition. I was especially pleased to see the restaurant’s commitment to the Chico community, including a $25,000 donation supporting local hunger-relief efforts and participation in the Chick-fil-A Shared Table program, which redirects surplus food to organizations in need. Overall, the restaurant is off to a very good start. The food was good, the staff was attentive, and the entire facility was clean and well managed. I would definitely recommend it.
