- NNNormElk4 days ago5.0I visited the new Chico Chick-fil-A at around 1:00 p.m., approximately two weeks after it opened. Overall, I had a very good experience and am glad we finally have one in Chico. The food was fresh, tasty, and properly cooked. It was slightly salty for my taste, but that is simply a personal preference. The employees were friendly, helpful, and working well together. Several managers were also on the floor assisting customers and checking to see whether anyone needed anything. I especially appreciated that they offer a military discount. The restaurant and restroom were extremely clean. There is plenty of seating, including a nice community table that seats six people. The shaded outdoor seating area also has fans, misters, and heaters, making it more comfortable throughout the year. My only real concern was the menu boards. The lettering seemed very small, and I had difficulty reading the menu while standing in line—even after reaching the register. Larger or easier-to-read menu displays would be a helpful improvement. The drive-through was busy, with approximately 14 to 16 cars when I was there, but the outside staff appeared to be managing traffic efficiently. It has two lanes that merge as vehicles proceed around the building. The restaurant also has an EV charging station, which is a thoughtful addition. I was especially pleased to see the restaurant’s commitment to the Chico community, including a $25,000 donation supporting local hunger-relief efforts and participation in the Chick-fil-A Shared Table program, which redirects surplus food to organizations in need. Overall, the restaurant is off to a very good start. The food was good, the staff was attentive, and the entire facility was clean and well managed. I would definitely recommend it.

The employees cared about the initial service (the gathered trays of food were arranged beautifully) and kept checking back to make sure we didn't need anything. They were so friendly and it was a perfect atmosphere after a long trip when everyone was tired. The restrooms were clean and beautifully designed--even my kids remarked on that. Just a wonderful experience!
