  I charged at the Arcata Tesla supercharger but wasn’t thrilled about the food options within walking distance. I’m so glad Susukino came up, only 5 minutes away with free and easy parking. The food definitely lives up to the Susukino area in Japan - I’ve always loved cold noodles. The chef didn’t hesitate to step in when the ordering system went down briefly. Then I saw the owner spring into action helping guests in the super comfortable dining room. Not sure if it was the teamwork, or obvious care that the two guys have for their meals, or the warm and comfortable dining room that made my experience so memorable. What a treat. I’ll be back. Only wish that it was this afternoon for seconds cause it was THAT good!!

  I’ve had better Ramen, but not in Northern California. In fact this place has to be in my top 3 favorite ramen places and I eat a lot of ramen. The vegetarian broth was full of flavor- delicious and unique. I also tried the half strength pork and chicken miso ramen- probably would have preferred whole strength- but very tasty. Perfect amount of toppings. Fresh. Chef friendly but no service- they call your name to pick up the soup and you clear your own dishes. Art eclectic and atmosphere spacious but lacking its own personality.

  I ordered a vegan ramen (Tan Tan). My wife ordered another ramen. The waitress and kitchen messed up delivering vegan food to us. My food contained pork and I noticed after eating it. Then the kitchen team realized the broth of both meals were not vegetarian either. Terrible service.

  The ramen was okay. It lacked the depth of flavor that comes with hours of work. The service is all self-serve. You order on a tablet and pick up at the counter, and you grab your own drinks and utensils. There were only chopsticks and soup spoons available, I didn’t see any forks. Overall it was disappointing, as I was expecting a tasty bowl of ramen.
