  My husband and I bought two of your very special lumberjack, pecan pies. We gave one to our next-door, neighbors, who are about to move. My goodness, you got the flavors just right in that pie. The caramel-like filling, filled with chopped pecans, bits of bacon and maple syrup, was truly extraordinary, especially when we heated up our slices ever so slightly. And the arugula salad we got at the same time, complimented the pie very well. By the way, the young lady at the counter was ever so sweet. I was having a bit of trouble talking with a sore throat, so I was standing back, keeping my distance from her while I waited for my order. She very sweetly offered me a cup of hot water with a little bit of honey to help my throat.

  Came to pick up a Gluten Free Cherry Pie to go, stayed for the Gluten free chicken pot pie. Ended up buying 2 more pot pies for takeaway. Staff was friendly, atmosphere was very nice, food came out promptly.

  Great food, I was pleasantly surprised. The only thing was the order took unusually long, even the person at the front had mentioned that when I checked in. I had even come 20 mins late. It's ok though, it wouldn't deter me from coming again. I had the chicken bacon ranch hand pie and the 5" gf chicken pot pie. Both were good, but I will definitely be getting that pot pie again!

  The pot pies and hand pies are good but expensive. The salads are not worth it, pretty much a small pile of greens with barely any toppings for 5-10$. Great place for a beer and a little snack. For average/big eaters it’s over $30/person to feel satisfied unfortunately! Still pretty yummy tho

  Pie. Need I say more? Of course I do because not only do they serve a variety of great pies, they have quiche, pie crust cookies and meat pies and more! They have a nice dining area where you can enjoy your pie by the slice with a cider or take it to go like we did. Everything is so good and the crust is buttery flaky just like mom used to make. This visit we got three slices to go and some pie crust cookies that are my personal fave. Every time my mom would make a quiche or pie there would be leftover crust and she would dust it with cinnamon and sugar and bake it up for a pre-pie treat. Slice of Humboldt Pie does it similarly but with coarse sugar granules and it’s so good. This is a must stop when you visit Arcata
