While some things have changed over the last few decades, El Pollo Loco's delivery of fresh, authentic food has not. Everything starts with whole chickens that are slowly marinated in a special recipe of herbs, spices, fruit juices and garlic. The chicken is then expertly fire-grilled to perfection the authentic way - on our signature open-flame grills - then hand cut into your favorite Mexican entrees. We put that same dedication and care into our handmade guacamole, salsas and dressings every day. At El Pollo Loco in Apple Valley,CA, we believe that when real food meets real fire the result is great taste that will keep you coming back again and again.

- BSBrijesh SomashekarAug 24, 20264.0A Good Family-Friendly Mexican Stop We stopped at El Pollo Loco for lunch while travelling from Los Angeles to Las Vegas and had a pretty good experience. We ordered the Chicken Family Meal, and it turned out to be a convenient and satisfying option for the whole family. The highlight was definitely the fire-grilled chicken. It had a lovely grilled flavour, was juicy and tender, and the seasoning was mild, balanced, and very enjoyable. The citrus-based marinade gives the chicken a nice flavour without making it overly spicy, which makes it a good choice for families and kids as well. The family meal is also a practical option when travelling with a group, with generous portions of chicken along with sides, tortillas and salsa. It makes for an easy, no-fuss meal when you’re looking for something filling and reasonably quick. Overall, El Pollo Loco is a decent Mexican fast-casual restaurant with good food, especially if you enjoy grilled chicken. It may not be the place for an elaborate Mexican dining experience, but for a casual family meal, it works very well. A convenient stop, good grilled chicken, family-friendly portions, and plenty of flavour.
- JJjkltJul 29, 20262.0Ordered a bowl; description states it includes sour cream. It couldn't have been more than a dab, pathetic! I asked for more; only if I paid for it! They've already reduced the amount of chicken, even the "double" chicken. Chipotle, here I come.
- GGGeorge GJul 28, 20261.0I am writing to formally complain about the food quality during my recent visit to your establishment. Please be careful, as the food served can cause illness. The chicken I received was undercooked, and the mashed potatoes were extremely salty and watery, to the point that they made me throw up.
