  We reserved the character breakfast expecting it to be one of the highlights of our Disneyland trip, but it ended up being one of our biggest disappointments. The food quality was surprisingly poor—our complimentary hotel breakfast was honestly better. The reservation process also felt disorganized. Despite having a reservation, we were kept waiting while a large party with a reservation scheduled more than an hour later was seated ahead of us. It made having a reservation seem more like a suggestion than an actual reservation. We were asked at check-in if this was our first visit and were even given a first-time visitor pin. Unfortunately, that didn’t translate into any guidance. After taking our photo with Minnie, no one explained where to go next or how the experience worked. Instead, we were chastised by a character attendant, which was an awkward way to start what was supposed to be a special experience. The biggest disappointment was the character lineup. Aside from Minnie, nearly all of the characters were lesser-known, and our children had little interest in meeting them. We later learned that Storytellers Café at the Grand Californian offers a similar character breakfast with significantly better food and a much stronger lineup of current Disney characters. Had we known that beforehand, we would have chosen that experience instead. For our family, this breakfast was an expensive disappointment and not a good use of either our time or money. We wouldn’t choose it again or recommend it over the other character dining options at the Disneyland Resort.

  Tried to get food they were lost and when it was our turn they made us get back in line behind 12 people when we were already next this is not the first time this has happened very frustrating they need to get organized and do better

  Cafeteria style, line was moving fast. The chicken plate was big and delicious that 2-3 people can share.

  The attention by the staff was on point but I do have to say that some people are unhinged when it comes to characters, you’re are going to get your turn Karen control yourself

  The menu is a joke. The food quality is Terrible! Waste of $160 bucks
