I come to this Chipotle regularly, so I was really disappointed with my experience today. I was charged $1.60 for a side of shredded cheese, which I’ve never had to pay for before at this location or any other Chipotle I’ve visited. The inconsistency was frustrating. The representative Patricia did not seem welcoming and appeared to be in a bad mood. She seemed more focused on her clipboard than helping customers while one employee handled the line alone. Overall, the customer service and experience today were disappointing, especially as a regular customer.

This Chipotle is closest to my house, yet among all the ones I’ve been to in soCal, this one consistently keeps giving me the smallest portions! I’ve seen customers in line get larger portions than me, too. I wonder why it’s always me who gets the smallest scoops. Keep in mind that I also happen to be an Asian female minority. I think I’ve come here enough times after the gym to argue that I ALWAYS get hollow bowls.

While working on a project for a brand in Anaheim I found a gym I belonged to I could use near work. I would go most nights and since this Chipotle was basically next door I would frequent it for the month I was there. It was always empty which I thought was maybe because of the way it was situated in the strip mall but I was wrong. There are a couple employees who worked here who made the experience almost unbearable, not knowing the last time I would come here would be my last.
I don’t eat meat so finding something quick and high protein within my preferences is hard, and so Sofritas is always my choice. I asked the employee behind the counter is there was another batch coming out because what they had was completely submerged in juice and water. He rolled his eyes and said it’s fine it’s always looks like this. So I just decided to get it, and asked for tortilla on the side. He proceeds to scoop out as much juice as a spoon will fill and pour it into my bowl. I just ignored it and went to pay.
I got to the front and noticed they charged me for the tortilla, and I stated I didn’t know there was an additional charge for it. The cashier replied, yeah? Is that a problem or? I said no not at all, I simply wasn’t aware, but because I had frequently many times I stated that every time I’ve asked for one I’ve been charged for it but it hasnt even been given to me, including just last night when I came to order food. He then said “awww waaahhh poor you! You got it this time so you’ll live” and then sneered at me. I ran my card and he yelled IT DECLINED so everyone could hear him, but the chip just didn’t catch so I ran it again and then he tossed my receipt at me while saying “have a great night” in a sarcastic tone.
To make matters worse I drove to where I was staying five minutes up the street. I got out, and went to pick up the bag and the bowl shot out of the bottom since it had become soaked in the excess juice the employee spooned into my meal and violently shot out from the bag and exploded all over the floor my brand new car, which now smells like a burrito rather than leather seats.
I knew Orange County was conservative but I didn’t think it was hate crime at a chain restaurant kind of city. Don’t come to this location unless you want the staff to try and make your day worse than it already is.
