- MBMartha Barrera6 days ago1.0On Friday, October 8, 2026 around 4:30 pm I was at Safeway in American Canyon in line to get a sandwich. There was already a line of customers and employee Anna was making 2 sandwiches for “possibly some friends”. Her interaction /communication with these “friends” was inappropriate for the workplace. At one point she threw a piece of salami to the “friend” over the counter. When she had no spinach she told the friend, well if you want spinach go get me a bag of spinach. Same thing when she had no black pepper she had her friend go get one. The language Anna used was inappropriate for a workplace. She took over 30 minutes to make 2 sandwiches. No professionalism with staff Anna. Noticed that the other 2 staff working at the sandwich area were uncomfortable with Anna’s behavior. I hope some training can be provided. Thank you, Patty Barrera

Asked for chicken strips - they turned out to be stale, dry and tough. Asked for 2lbs of potato wedges - lady just says that theres no more and refuses to drop more in the fryer. On the way home on the radio I hear a Safeway commercial telling everyone to stop by their Deli to get fresh fried chicken... they should say except at the American Canyon location. Been to other locations that are always willing to drop a fresh batch in the fryer during reasonable hours.
