  We couldn’t be happier with this daycare. From day one, the staff has been incredibly kind, patient, and attentive, which immediately put us at ease. It’s clear they genuinely care about the children and treat them like family. The facility is always clean, safe, and well-organized, and communication with parents is consistent and reassuring. We’re kept informed about our child’s day, progress, and any updates, which we really appreciate. Our children have grown so much socially and emotionally here and is always excited to go. We’re extremely grateful for the loving environment they provide and would highly recommend this daycare to any parent looking for a place they can truly trust.

  My boys have been attending 1st Steps for over two years now and since the beginning I've been very impressed with the care and attention they receive! The owner and teachers are so wonderful, they truly feel like family. It's amazed me to watch my boys learn and grow as they've attended this day care. I highly recommend this facility to anyone needing the best of care for their littles ❤️

  Been using these guys for 3 years, and I genuinely cannot say enough nice things about the owner and staff! I looked around at a lot of daycares and was highly unimpressed until I found First Steps, it’s not just a daycare, they are educating the kids from day one. I watched my son’s vocabulary skyrocket, his social skills ect. Everyone is so friendly and caring and professional here! Special shout out to Ms. Emma for being the best teacher ever, and Mrs. Briana for making it all happen. Wish I could leave 10 stars!

  The teachers at First Steps were nothing short of loving and caring people with an obvious interest in the children. That being said, the 3 stars is for the business practices. Last December, they were closed for a week and mom and I had to call in a few favors to get childcare for my kid. Now I understand that the employees need time off for their families too and there's nothing wrong with that, but I feel that charging the full rate for the month when a 25% of the month was closed doesn't seem quite fair. Also on one particular day, I got a notification that due to road conditions (which were normal for an Idaho winter by the way) they are closing early and only giving a few hours' time to pick up our kids or "standard late fees apply". Luckily, my job puts me in a position where I can drop everything to get my kid, but what if I wasn't? What if mom and I were not in the position to get our child in the few hours they were allotting us before "standard late fees" were to apply? Doesn't seem quite fair at all either. First Steps Day Care has incredible teachers and loving staff, the management practices could leave a bit to be desired.
