  As a representative of Piedmont Hospice & Palliative Care, I have had the pleasure of working alongside Manor Lake Assisted Living, and I can honestly say that this is a truly special community. The compassion, dedication, and genuine love shown to the residents and their families do not go unnoticed. One person who deserves special recognition is Carolyn Slavenas, Director of Sales and Marketing. Carolyn is an absolute gem! Her warmth, professionalism, welcoming personality, and genuine passion for what she does make such a positive impression. She has a special way of making people feel comfortable, valued, and welcomed from the moment they meet her. It is evident that she cares deeply about the residents, their families, and making sure each person finds the right place to call home. Working alongside a community that values relationships, teamwork, and quality of life means so much to me, especially in the hospice and palliative care field. Having a strong partnership with an assisted living community that understands the importance of compassionate care makes all the difference for residents and their loved ones during some of life’s most difficult moments. Manor Lake is more than just an assisted living facility. It is a community where people matter, relationships are valued, and compassion shines through. I am grateful for the relationship we have built through Piedmont Hospice & Palliative Care and would wholeheartedly recommend Manor Lake to anyone searching for a caring, welcoming place for their loved one.   Mom died in July and her hospice care workers, main company they worked for and the crematory all sent condolences. Manor Lake called to tell me to get the rest of my Mom's stuff out. No call, no email, no card, just wanted the space.

  As a hospice liaison, I spend a lot of time in assisted living communities, and I can honestly say Tabitha is one of those people who truly makes a difference. She has such a heart for the residents in Memory Care and always goes the extra mile to make sure they’re engaged, included, and genuinely enjoying their day. You can tell she really knows her residents and puts so much thought into the activities she plans. Whether it’s something fun, meaningful, or just bringing a smile to someone’s face, she pours her heart into it. It’s always a pleasure seeing the positive energy she brings every time I visit. Manor Lake is lucky to have her, and the residents are even luckier.

  I can’t say enough positive things about the Memory Care program at Manor Lake Ellijay. Tabatha always has the residents laughing and smiling. I always enjoy my time there seeing everyone so happy ! Great opportunity for anyone with a Memory Care need.
