We have been extremely disappointed with our experience at KinderCare. First, the billing has been completely careless—they billed us for 5 days of care, but we only had our child there for 3 days per week and there has been no proper resolution when we raised this issue. It feels like they do not pay attention to their billing or customer concerns. Additionally, the center itself is quite dirty and poorly maintained, which is unacceptable for a place caring for young children. The classrooms and common areas are often unclean, making us worry about our child’s health and safety. There seems to be no real plan or activities for the kids. It felt like the children were left with nothing engaging or structured to do. This lack of stimulation is disappointing given what we expect from a daycare. Overall, this experience has been frustrating and concerning, and we cannot recommend this location due to their careless billing, unclean environment, and lack of meaningful activities for children. We have given our 2 weeks notice to this daycare but they have not updated that and still billing us for 5 days a week.

I am beyond frustrated this KinderCare location. The facility is outdated and dirty, which alone is unacceptable when it comes to a childcare setting. However, the issues go far beyond just the condition of the center. First, there are serious concerns about the treatment of the children. There have been multiple instances of inappropriate behavior from staff, including yelling at the children and how they handle them. It’s concerning to see that behavioral issues are left unchecked, putting both the kids and teachers at risk. The environment feels unsafe and unwelcoming. Additionally, the staff is completely unprofessional. There’s a lack of respect and basic decorum in dealing with the children and parents, and staff. which only adds to the overall poor experience. For the babies, it’s heartbreaking. They are left on the floor all day with little to no interaction except during feeding times. There’s no music, no reading, no singing, no dancing—just complete neglect of developmental needs. This is supposed to be a place where children are stimulated and cared for, but that simply isn’t happening here. Additionally, the staff is underqualified. Most of the “teachers” don’t seem to have the experience or training needed to handle young children appropriately. It’s clear that management tells them when tours are scheduled so they can put on a show for potential parents, but the reality once you’re enrolled is completely different. Lastly, the center doesn’t even follow the curriculum it claims to implement. It feels like a complete disconnect between what is promised and what’s actually being delivered. This has been a terrible experience, and I would not recommend this location to any parent who wants their child to be in a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment. **Testimony from Employee **

This center is such a joy to be a part of. From the teachers, who work hard everyday to ensure a warm, safe, and educational environment, to the children who are fun and always eager to learn. The routine from day to day allows for growth and understanding in the children as well. I am such a big fan of the Old Sauk KinderCare!!

We had a good experience here, pros they work with your child through difficult times such as biting and aggression that most two to three year olds have between developing vocabulary. My son was a bitter For some reason seemed to have gotten better then got worse for some reason, but it’s all in the teacher and there experiences on how to teach them to use there words not just say STOP and write a report, I did however get a lot of phone calls to pick my child up back to back because of his negative lashing out in frustration for what ever reason, which I think came from having to blend classrooms before the day and end of day due to intimidation from bigger kids but that just my opinion I was never there to witness any of this behavior, which in hand led me to pull him out because I could not leave work another day. My son is very busy so I can see how he may have been a bit much to handle in some cases if enough staff wasn’t available. I hated the food... lol one day I came in and it smelled like sewage I asked the teacher what happened and she said it was Broccoli! Lol...funniest thing ever!! Cons: I don’t have a lot of bad things to say simply because my standards may not be like other peoples and I don’t really know how hard a job it is to work with young children ALL DAY so I’ll just point out things I didn’t like. There were times I’d come in and the tables and floors were still a little dirty. Having a toddler and knowing they pick everything up and put it in there mouth makes you cringe when you notice things like that. My sons sweaters jackets and blankets came up missing constantly, which in the winter it’s vital that he come and go with what he arrived with, which may not be the facilities fault, but theiving parents because I immediately know when I arrive to pick up if he has something that doesn’t belong to him so that’s just people taking what they know isn’t there’s. I like the majority of the staff everyone seemed ok I’d notice that dropping my son off in the morning having him go over to the bigger kid side until his teacher arrived was causing most of his frustration because the minute he arrived the teacher was taking things from him maybe because the toys may not have been age appropriate but to a two year old that just seems unfair and doesn’t understand why you took it so he’d be annoyed and upset by this, I can imagine. If your gonna have those groups combined together for a uncertain time give toddlers things to keep them stimulated the moment they arrive because it’s gonna be like a scavenger hunt to find something that will draw there attention. Constantly taking things from them and not engaging with them will cause them to lash out negatively and start the day off in a bad mood for that child. But we learn and grow and hopefully this will help with anyone in my situation that you guys may have again like my son. Otherwise good place to go if you need care @6am. They’re alway on time and even bad snow days for those that don’t really have the option to call off. And flexible with payments Nicky is always understanding and gives flexibility. ✌🏾
