My family and I recently moved to New Albany and initially when we did, we transferred our son to the Primrose of Johnstown School since we had a wonderful experience at Primrose of Canal Winchester. Within a few days we were pretty disappointed in their care. I looked into Ready, Set Grow and scheduled a tour. During our tour they listened to our concerns, and were especially accommodating. They brought in his teacher for us to meet personally, and showed us around the entire facility. The facility is not only clean, but smells great and they have a wonderful principal and other administrative staff. Not to mention that they’re extremely affordable compared to other centers. I am so happy my family chose Ready, Set, Grow!

After many years with Ready Set Grow, we made the difficult decision to withdraw our daughter. I hesitated to write this review because this was once a school we genuinely loved and trusted. Unfortunately, what we have experienced over the past year has been so concerning that I feel other parents deserve to know before choosing to enroll their children here.
The biggest issue has been the decline in leadership, consistency, communication and accountability. The school has had three different principals in approximately one year, along with significant staff and teacher turnover. Problems that should have been addressed quickly have instead repeatedly been met with poor communication, delayed responses or seemingly no meaningful action.
There have also been multiple incidents that raised serious concerns for our family regarding supervision and safety. These included an incident involving a toddler gaining access to medication, repeated concerns raised by parents regarding a teacher appearing impaired while caring for children, and an incident in which a child reportedly ingested diaper cream while under that teacher's supervision. Concerns regarding this teacher were raised repeatedly, yet from our perspective meaningful action took far too long. When you trust an organization with very young children, the incidents themselves — and how leadership responds to them — matter tremendously.
The school also recently announced it would no longer refrigerate or heat children's lunches, despite many classrooms already having refrigerators and microwaves and the school not providing lunch options. For parents paying premium tuition for full-time childcare, this felt like another reduction in service rather than an improvement in the children's experience.
It has also been frustrating to see money seemingly spent on new furniture, televisions and cosmetic improvements while longstanding facility issues, including broken windows and heating/air-conditioning problems, have gone unresolved for extended periods.
Over the years, our family has spent hundreds of thousands of dollars sending our children to this school. Leaving was not a decision we made lightly. Ready Set Grow used to have a reputation as one of the premier childcare centers in the area, and for years I recommended it without hesitation. Watching what has happened to the school has been incredibly disappointing.
Communication from regional leadership has been another significant frustration. I repeatedly reached out to Regional Director Tiffany Ternovan regarding serious concerns and far too often received delayed responses or no response at all. When parents are raising concerns involving safety, staffing, leadership and their children's daily care, they should not have to repeatedly follow up simply to receive communication from those responsible for overseeing the school.
I am thankful that Senior Regional Director Kelly Raucci ultimately contacted me and took the time to have a conversation about what has been happening. I genuinely appreciated her reaching out, listening to my concerns and having a direct conversation with me. Unfortunately, by that point our confidence in the school and its leadership had already been damaged beyond repair.
Ultimately, we reached a point where we could no longer justify keeping our daughter somewhere when we had lost confidence in the leadership responsible for her care, and we have now removed her from the school.
I sincerely hope the organization takes a hard look at what has happened and makes the changes necessary to restore Ready Set Grow to what it once was. There are many wonderful teachers and staff members who care deeply about these children, and they deserve strong, consistent leadership just as much as the families do.
For parents considering enrolling, I strongly encourage you to ask detailed questions about leadership turnover, teacher retention, supervision and safety incidents, lunch policies, facility maintenance, and how parent concerns are escalated and resolved before making your decision.

After four wonderful years, it is incredibly difficult to say goodbye to Ready Set Grow. From the very beginning, we felt welcomed, supported, and confident that our child was in caring and capable hands.
The teachers have been wonderful! They consistently showed genuine care, patience, and attention to each child's individual needs. The relationships they built with our children made such a positive impact and created an environment where they felt loved and excited to learn.
Over the years, we have watched our child gain confidence, make friends, and reach important milestones, and we are so grateful to the entire staff for being part of that journey. We are moving and wish we could take Ready Set Grow with us!

First and foremost, the classroom teachers in Infant 4 are absolutely wonderful, incredibly loving, and completely dedicated to the children. They do a phenomenal job under impossible circumstances. This 1-star review is strictly for management's chronic failure to support them and maintain a safe facility.
Over the last two months, this facility has experienced an unacceptable pattern of operational and facility neglect. A window broke in the infant classroom on March 26th and was left unsealed for nearly 60 days, utilizing an insufficient temporary patch of plastic wrap and a board with vague repair deadlines. This allowed outdoor elements and insects directly into an active infant room, causing my child to suffer frequent bites.
Due to the unsealed building envelope, the HVAC system completely failed on May 18th, requiring emergency portable AC units to be rolled into the infant rooms. Management's notices completely failed to clarify which specific classrooms were impacted, hiding the true extent of the temperature risk from parents, and they provided zero follow-up communication to confirm that the HVAC repair was ever actually completed. Furthermore, staff have confirmed the HVAC system has broken down every single summer for the past two years without a permanent fix, a fact management routinely masks from families.
Furthermore, the facility has experienced structural roof leaks, chronic staffing shortages causing constantly fluctuating, rotating teachers in the classroom, and a total collapse of the building's main secure-entry doors and electronic keypad system. Because there is no physical front desk or security vestibule, a broken security keypad means anyone can walk directly from the parking lot into the secure hallways completely unverified. Without a secure checkpoint, it is highly unlikely and operationally impossible for rotating admin staff to properly identify and verify authorized guardians allowed to pick up children, creating an immediate liability.
The teachers themselves have explicitly pushed management for transparent communication and immediate maintenance action regarding these severe safety and security risks, but their internal requests were completely ignored by leadership. When we brought these facility failures to the District Director, they chose to completely stonewall and ignore our communications. We have immediately withdrawn our child due to these compounding safety violations and have reported the facility to state licensing boards. Excellent teachers; completely failed by management. Proceed with extreme caution.

I've had two boys attend RSG from 4 months - 4 years, and cannot speak highly enough of their experience during each stage! They have formed great relationships with friends, teachers, and administrators, and RSG has gone the extra mile to ensure a great experience. The personalized experiences, detailed communications, and thoughtfulness of the teachers makes me feel that my childen (and us as parents) are truly cared about. The facility is well-maintained, safety is prioritized, and my children have exceeded every development milestone thanks to their curriculum. You will feel comfort as a parent dropping your kids off at RSG knowing they are loved and supported. Special thanks to Ms. Jeanette, Kayla, MaryJo, Rayvin, and Amber that have provided amazing structure and development for our boys!
