  I was welcomed immediately with smiling faces and was serviced by a student of the academy named Janae who blow dried & trimmed my hair to perfection as well as styled me! The entire staff & instructors did an amazing job at teaching them how to provide exceptional service!

  If I could give less than one star, I would. My experience was ruined because of the manager. I came in to ask about getting my daughter's hair braided. I put my name on the waiting list and showed the manager the style I wanted. He said he wasn't sure whether any of the students could do that style. From my first visit, I already knew the wait at this academy could be several hours because it's walk-in only. I asked if I could quickly show one of the braiders the picture to see whether anyone could do the style before spending hours waiting. The manager refused and told me to wait until it was my turn. I explained that I didn't want to wait for hours only to find out that no one could do the style. He responded that the person who might be able to do it could be gone by the time my turn came because she might leave. So I was expected to sit there for hours with no guarantee that anyone could do the hairstyle or even be available. That made no sense. Then he became rude and falsely claimed that I "always cause problems" whenever I come. I told him, loudly enough for everyone to hear, that this was only my second visit. The first time I came was simply to have my daughter's hair washed, and there were no issues at all. This was my second visit, so his accusation was completely false. I understand this is an academy and that the prices are lower than a regular salon. I also understand that long wait times are part of a walk-in system. However, affordable prices are never an excuse for poor customer service. Every customer deserves to be treated with honesty, courtesy, and respect. I wasn't upset about the wait—I was upset by the manager's rude attitude, false accusations, and unwillingness to answer a simple question. Respect should be given to every customer, regardless of how much they are paying.. Because of the way I was treated, I will not be returning.
