After being at a Montessori school that we absolutely loved from age 5 months to just over 2, my son transitioned to another supposedly Montessori school (for financial reasons), where he spent the last year. There were many things we didn't like about that school, including how chaotic it always felt. My son's transition (now as an almost-3-year-old) to Primrose has been incredibly smooth, and he has not only been happy to go to school every morning, he has also seemed happier overall in the evenings. His teachers and the administration have been so attentive and made the whole family feel welcome; the days seem very calm, nurturing, and well-structured; and I can already see how much he's learning. The proprietary curriculum has many of the elements I liked about a Montessori education (a calm and age-appropriate environment, emphasis on life skills, opportunities for the students to self-direct within reason, etc.), without feeling as rigid as Montessori can feel--and I also think the transition from a Primrose classroom to a public kindergarten will be significantly easier. I also cannot overstate how much I love the app that they use, in which I get updates throughout the day about what my son is learning, how he is feeling, what and how much he ate, etc. Overall we have been SO pleased by our decision to transition my son here, and we're excited that our daughter will start next month, at 9 months, as well.
