Nature Forward Preschool

Nature Forward Preschool focuses on the magic of being in the moment, immersed in the natural world. Our student-centered, process-based philosophy introduces young students to a lifetime of learning. Our 40-acre Woodend Nature Sanctuary provides the perfect backdrop for explorations, discoveries and risk-taking that make learning fun and exciting. Our curriculum emerges from the children’s interests and follows the seasons. Children are naturally curious about the environment and we let their natural discoveries guide our explorations. (Enrollment fees support Nature Forward's non-profit mission work to inspire residents of the greater Washington, DC region to appreciate, understand, and protect their natural environment.)
