  So we have been a part of the primrose family for about 2 years now, I have a 22 month old son and now a daughter in the infant room with this daycare. I first want to mention how amazing the staff is at this location, they have always been attentive and loving towards my 2 children, even if a primary teacher is out there has never been a need for me to worry because all of the staff member including the floating teachers have been incredible, I know my kids are in good hands with whomever they are with. You can tell they truly care about the well being of my kids by how my kids respond during the day. My son leaps out of the house when we mention “school” and when I come to pick him up he never wants to leave he is having so much fun, my daughter in the infant room always has a smile and giggles when I pick her up. For me the most important aspect of any daycare is how children respond and mine have always been positive. I also want to mention that any concern I have ever had in the past (although few and far in between) has always been addressed promptly and professionally, with immediate results. They have always been open to sitting down and hearing me out and making me feel comfortable and heard as a parent. I cannot say enough amazing things about this location. Thank you Primrose Carmel.

  We recently enrolled our infant at this location and ultimately decided to withdraw him after a month. I’m disappointed with our experience and, honestly, surprised that no one from the center reached out to ask why we were withdrawing. A parent pulling their infant after only a month seems like something that would warrant a conversation with the director/ owner and an opportunity to receive feedback. My biggest concern was the lack of consistency and structure in the infant room. The room had lost its regular teachers, and temporary floaters were covering instead. As a result, I stopped receiving the daily learning objectives that had initially been communicated to us, and I did not feel that the curriculum was being consistently followed. I was also concerned about how much time my son spent in a bouncer. I did not feel that tummy time and other age-appropriate developmental activities were being prioritized consistently, particularly given that infants at this age need opportunities for movement, interaction, and one-on-one engagement throughout the day. There were also several basic care and cleanliness concerns. On multiple occasions, I brought my son home after a dirty diaper and found that he had not been fully cleaned. Additionally, the infant room allows teachers, parents, and older siblings to enter wearing street shoes. For an infant environment, this did not give me the level of cleanliness I expected. I was particularly disappointed to see that the job posting for a new infant room teacher lists “no experience required.” I understand that childcare centers need to hire and train staff, but given the age and developmental needs of infants, I personally expected a higher level of experience and consistency in the infant classroom. We ultimately decided to transition our son to another Primrose location under different ownership. The difference in what we were looking for has been significant: three consistent full-time infant teachers, a stronger focus on the curriculum, daily communication about what is being taught and the learning objectives, a shoe-free infant room, and intentional one-on-one time focused on each child’s individual development. To be fair, the center did make noticeable improvements during our final week after a full-time teacher was assigned to the infant room. In that single week, we received more photos of our son than we had during the entire previous month combined, and communication was noticeably better. I appreciate that effort, but unfortunately it came too late to change our decision. While I was glad to see those improvements, they did not address our concerns about consistency, cleanliness, or incomplete feeding updates. I’m leaving three stars because there were certainly positives, but overall, I was disappointed with the Carmel location and felt that the infant room was not providing the level of care, cleanliness, consistency, and developmental focus that I was looking for. I would have genuinely appreciated the opportunity to discuss these concerns with the director before leaving, and I hope this feedback is taken seriously and used as an opportunity for improvement.

  We transferred our kiddo from a different school last summer and the difference has been night and day! I can't say how truly happy we are at Primrose of Carmel. From the lesson plans to quality meal planning, we are so grateful to all the staff that make every day great!

  Our family has been impressed and comforted by the care we have received at Primrose! Everyone from the teachers, office staff and owner Nicole has been professional and easy to communicate with. I would recommend Primrose Carmel as an excellent place for your kiddos to grow and learn.

  We have had such a wonderful experience with Primrose since my daughter started in January 2023. She truly loves being there and feels so comfortable and happy every day. Every teacher and even the office staff know her by name, which makes her feel genuinely loved and cared for. It’s clear how much thought and heart go into helping the children learn, grow, and feel safe. We’re so grateful to be part of such a warm and nurturing community. 💛
