My experience at Rasmussen University’s Romeoville Campus was highly positive, thanks in large part to the leadership of the campus director, Gina Taleb, who assisted me during enrollment and connected me with supportive staff such as my advisor, Staci Davis. With this guidance, I benefited from outstanding instruction by professors including Professors Ortiz and Youstra, whose mentorship was instrumental in achieving my academic goals. The encouraging environment and dedication of the staff make this university a strong recommendation for those seeking quality education and committed support.

The best surgical tech professors!!!!! I've been able to learn the fundamental of surgical technology and surgery that have helped me sooo much while doing my clinical. I feel prepared and supported by Mrs.Teodoro and Mrs. Murchie. They genuinely want my cohort to succeed and give me all the instruments I need to get ahead in the surgical tech program.

This program is a great choice for anyone serious about advancing their healthcare career. All of the professors (Mrs. Teodoro, Mrs. Murchie, Mr. Peterson) are exceptional and are beyond willing to answer any question you may have. Any one of them are willing to take the time to explain different situations, laws and regulations, and overall will make you a better person and certified surgical technologist. If you are considering between this program and another school's program, take this as a sign, you'll succeed here if you put in the work. This program specifically has in person lab setting that allows you to get a feel of how the OR operates, and you will go over all classwork before being sent out to clinicals. The professors are more than committed to setting you up for the real world.

Attending the Rasmussen University Surgical Technology program was one of the best decisions I’ve made for my future. From the very beginning, I felt supported by instructors Jill Teodoro, Breanne Murchie, Gina and Mr. P, who genuinely wanted me to succeed and took the time to help whenever I had questions or needed encouragement. What I appreciated most was the hands-on learning experience. The labs and clinical rotations helped me build confidence and prepared me for what it’s really like to work in the operating room. The program challenged me in the best way possible and taught me the importance of teamwork, attention to detail, and patient care. There were definitely moments where the program was demanding, but the support from instructors and classmates made a huge difference. Looking back, I’m grateful for everything I learned and for the experience Rasmussen gave me. I feel much more confident and prepared to begin my career as a surgical technologist.

I love the fact that the school gives you different study tools to be successful in your courses. I also really love Professor Brown-Bartlett and Professor Youstra for doing everything in THEIR power to help ALL their students be successful and understand the course material. Lastly my admissions process went very smoothly as I worked with Tyler Rusk. He was super helpful and knew about the programs offered and knew who to connect me with when I wanted more clarity on other programs.
