  Phil is a great tutor who has recently helped me with MAT119 (College Algebra). He gives clear notes and shows examples that make topics easier to understand. Instead of just showing you how to do it, he explains how it works and makes it interesting. Phil will let you lead the session if you want, but still makes sure you cover everything you need. He’s also super kind and easy to talk to, so you can even make a friend if you want. I highly recommend him!

  Phil tutorted me in ISU's Math 113 over this summer. I have always struggled with math and Phil had so much patience with me. He made sure to not only explain steps to problems, but helped me to understand entire topics. I feel so much more confident in my math abilities, and I’m walking away with an A in a math class for the first time. Thanks for everything!

  Great tutor! He explains concepts clearly and helps to combine other mathematical understanding when tutoring a subject.

  My daughter was struggling in her MATH 113 class at Illinois State University and found information about Dr. Phil Grizzard on a bulletin board at ISU. We contacted Phil and easily worked out a plan and package and convenient times for him to meet with my daughter and tutor her. She was committed to passing her class and succeeding and that, along with the great teaching skills of Phil, and lots of extra credit, and work on her own, she was able to bring her grade up from failing to passing and did well on her final. If you are struggling in college level math courses of any kind, it is worth the money and time to seek out Phil for extra help and tutoring!!!

  I was struggling with Elementary Linear Algebra at the beginning of the semester and was afraid I was going to have to retake it. After getting some help from PHG Tutoring, though, I got a B in the class! Phil is an awesome guy who definitely knows his stuff. If I ever need tutoring for a math class again, I know who to go to!
