They helped me get into the UA (HVAC and plumbers union) I completed the program then had my teacher Mr. Budz write me a letter of recommendation which gave me extra points and got me into ua local 130.

The office lady that starts with the letter V was so rude and terrible service, she needs to get fired or suspended, my kid needed help resetting a test and she needed to unlock it but she kept rolling her eyes because she wanted to leave, why work at a office place when you can’t even do your job everything else was good but the office lady with the first letter being V was horrible taking it to corporate. Hire people who actually want to help other not the one who wanna get paid

I’d strongly advise against sending your child through the electrical program at this “school.” There are several reasons the program isn’t worth the $15,000 price tag. You get maybe 10 hours of actual hands-on electrical practice, and the person teaching that hands-on portion is a carpenter by trade, not an electrician. The classroom portion isn’t great either, though it does cover code and some residential layouts. They use the NCCER curriculum, which is designed to be completed over five years — you can imagine how well that translates into nine months. If you’re a parent, or close to graduating high school and considering this path, look into local community colleges instead, especially programs through the City Colleges of Chicago. These connect you with local companies, and some can even get you into a union apprenticeship. Contractors in the area know this school’s reputation, which makes it extremely difficult to find work after graduation without outside connections. Most people from my graduating class were unable to find a job in the field, and many still haven’t after two years. You’ll have better luck approaching small local contractors directly and asking if they need a helper. Please look into other options before committing to this program.

I graduated from HVAC TECH February of this year and had a job offer before I even graduated. I’m currently doing commercial/ Refrigeration work and I love it. I was lead to this school after I was denied by another popular hvac school due to having a background. The teachers are very knowledgeable (SHOUTOUT MR. ROBINSON & CEASAR!!) and the woman in the office are amazing. Thank you for giving me the opportunity, and allowing me to learn and grow!!
