Our family has been with Primrose School of Cupertino since they first opened, and we couldn't be happier with our experience! Our older child attended from the very beginning all the way through Pre-K. Throughout those years, we saw incredible behavioral and academic growth. The teachers and staff were consistently communicative, supportive, and truly felt like an extension of our family. Even today, when my oldest comes along to drop off or pick up her younger sibling, she is so excited to see her former teachers—and they are just as thrilled to see her. That long-lasting bond speaks volumes about the warmth of the environment here. Now, our youngest is in the Older Infant classroom, and our experience continues to be outstanding. The infant teachers are wonderfully patient, attentive, and welcoming. They greet our family with a warm smile every single day, and most importantly, our 1-year-old is genuinely happy to walk into his classroom and see his teachers. As parents who have navigated both the early infant stage and the full path to Pre-K at Primrose, we have always felt heard, supported, and confident in the care and communication provided by both the staff and leadership. We highly recommend Primrose Cupertino to any family looking for a caring, nurturing, and well-run school!

We initially chose Primrose for its curriculum and reputation. After a smooth tour, we were told to join the waitlist, but upon following up, the owner suddenly informed us of immediate availability. We scheduled a meet-and-greet with the teacher and management. During the meeting, I noticed a significant language barrier with the infant teacher, to the point where management had to constantly step in to answer my questions. Additionally, when my one-year-old got fussy in the small space, the teacher visibly grunted—which was concerning, as patience is essential for infant care. Still, after hearing from other parents that communication is mostly handled seamlessly via chats and they might be using translators, we proceeded with enrollment. Because my child just turned one, I wanted to ensure a smooth transition for both the LO and teachers. I reached out to management one last time to ask how we would navigate the communication gap with his primary teacher. In the beginning verbal communication will be more effective and faster. The owner's response was shocking. Instead of offering a practical solution, she became incredibly defensive, stated that the US is a country of immigrants, and suggested that if I had a problem with diversity, my child wasn't a good fit and I should not proceed with enrollment. At this point, my LO was to start the next day and we had everything ready for him for his first day. Being an immigrant myself, I patiently explained that my concern was purely about the practical need to communicate clearly about my infant's daily care and safety. However, the owner refused to understand, jumped to offensive conclusions, and repeatedly suggested I unenroll my child. Given how poorly this single concern was handled, I realized there was no point in raising the other issues we had observed, and we made the easy decision to pull our child out before he even started. Looking back, the other red flags were glaring: Poor Communication: The director failed to follow up after our initial tour with waitlist and enrollment details as promised. Lack of Patience: The infant teacher's visible frustration (grunting) with a fussy baby during a short meeting. Hygiene Issues: Most disturbingly, during a classroom visit, a member of the management team used her bare foot to roll a ball back to the babies in the infant room. Bottom line: If you are a parent who expects to be able to bring valid concerns to management and have them addressed professionally, look elsewhere. If you raise an issue here, expect management to throw you off guard and threaten you with unenrollment instead of fixing the problem. Ps: there were couple of reviews that I ignored but should have considered. ------------- I am updating my review to address the owner's response, which contains several inaccuracies and deflects from the core issues I raised. The "Decision" to Leave: Your statement, "We understand you decided not to join our program," is completely false. The withdrawal was a pushed decision by the owner. To make this happen, you even bypassed Primrose's strict "no exceptions" policy to refund our non-refundable enrollment fee. The Re-enrollment Offer: It is highly contradictory that your management reached out just a couple of days later to ask if we wanted to re-enroll our child. Regardless, I am thankful you forced the withdrawal, as it helped us avoid several other red flags. Deflecting the Communication Issue: Your explanation about translation devices and emotional cues completely misses the point. The language barrier concern I raised was strictly about the inability to facilitate clear, basic communication between teachers and parents, not between teachers and students.

We have had a wonderful experience at Primrose School of Cupertino. Our daughter started in the Older Infant classroom in February and recently transitioned to the Young Toddler classroom in mid-June, so this review is mainly for our experience with the Older Infant class. We will be happy to update again as we get to know her new teachers. A big thank you to Ms. Betsy, Ms. Susann, Ms. Erika, and Ms. Chinara. They were all so loving, patient, and caring with our daughter. As first-time parents, we really appreciated how communicative they were at pickup. They would tell us how her day went, how she ate and slept, whether she had a happy day, and even little details like what time she usually started missing us if we were not there yet. The teachers also made the classroom feel warm and personal. Pickup often felt like a friendly check-in rather than just a quick handoff. They chatted with us, shared little stories about our daughter, and made the environment feel like a small community. One sweet example that really stood out to us was that the teachers occasionally posted little folded notes on the classroom door for parents to see at pickup. Our daughter’s name was written on the note with little hearts, and the teachers shared that she was starting to practice using a spoon by herself. About a month later, she really did start using a spoon on her own, and she was surprisingly good at it! It was such a fun and meaningful milestone, and it showed us how closely the teachers were paying attention to her growth. We also really liked the activities and daily routine in the Older Infant class. Our daughter is very active and social, and once she became familiar with the classroom, she seemed to really enjoy circle time and watching the teachers lead songs and activities. The teachers noticed and appreciated her lively personality, and it was clear that she felt happy and comfortable with them. We are very grateful for the care she received in the Older Infant classroom. Thank you, Ms. Betsy, Ms. Susann, Ms. Erika, and Ms. Chinara, for helping make her first few months at Primrose such a positive experience!

My son joined Primrose Cupertino when he was 15 months old, and our experience has been wonderful. The school has excellent facilities, a warm and welcoming environment, and a truly caring staff. One thing that stands out is how every staff member knows my child's name and greets him enthusiastically every day. That personal touch makes a huge difference and shows how much they genuinely care about the children. About four months ago, my son learned how to give fist bumps from Mr. Jacob, the chef, and it has since become one of his favorite ways to interact with people at school. It's heartwarming to see the staff lovingly engage with him and enthusiastically return his fist bumps every day. My son looks forward to going to school each day and enjoys his time there immensely. He has developed great relationships with his teachers, especially Ms. Betsy, Ms. Chinara, Ms. Erika, and Ms. Susann, who have been incredibly supportive, nurturing, and attentive. The school also does a great job of keeping parents informed through timely updates and is very responsive to individual needs, providing thoughtful accommodations and support when needed. We are grateful to be part of the Primrose Cupertino community and highly recommend it to families looking for a caring and engaging preschool environment.

Our daughter’s Primrose journey has been wonderful so far and we are so happy she is part of the Primrose family. We toured other schools and decided that Primrose was the right balance of play based and education. The teachers are as tireless as they are selfless, and go out of their way to ensure she has an enriching experience. They provide frequent photo and text updates and are always available to address any concern we have. We look forward to when our second child can join Primrose and would recommmend it to anyone looking for engaging preschool. Monica is a great director and knows what she is doing as she has led many schools in the past. She chooses her staff and teachers wisely as our children are so important to her.
