  We cannot recommend Grace Li Laoshi and Yolanda Yang Laoshi highly enough! The headteachers and assistant teachers at LePort Montessori Irvine Mandarin Immersion have an amazing gift for truly understanding each child’s individual personality and adjusting their teaching to meet specific needs. Yang Laoshi worked wonders with our oldest child, who has now moved on to a public immersion school. She is absolutely excelling there, which we credit largely to the incredible foundation Yang Laoshi built—nurturing her social skills, her love for music, and her early language development. Now, Li Laoshi is doing an equally phenomenal job with our youngest. Thanks to their patience and consistency, our youngest is flourishing socially, learning the language beautifully, and mastering big milestones like potty training and becoming more orderly. The genuine care and personalized attention both teachers provide is unmatched. Thank you both for giving both of our children such a beautiful, lasting start to their education!

  We have two kids enrolled here at both the toddler and primary programs and both kids are thriving here. After the initial weeks, they have never had a bad day and are always looking forward to school. It’s too bad we have to move because the kids are having so much fun here. The “work” that they bring home are also thoughtful. I like also that the teachers are not constantly taking pictures so they are actually engaged with the children more. Our kids are native Mandarin speakers and their Chinese language abilities are on track for native speakers. The administration team was easy and pleasant to work with and overall I would recommend the school to anyone looking for quality Chinese immersion program!

  Our daughter has been attending this preschool for two and a half years, and we couldn’t be happier with our experience. She started right when she turned three and is now graduating this May. Over the years, we have seen her grow tremendously, both socially and academically. The teachers are exceptionally kind, supportive, and truly care about each child's development. It’s a wonderful community, and our daughter loves going to school every day. We are so grateful for the foundation they’ve built for her!

  Chen Laoshi and Li Laoshi at LePort Irvine Mandarin are exceptional for Toddlers (18 months - 3 years old). We enrolled our son 5 months ago and have been consistently impressed. From day one, Chen Laoshi and Li Laoshi greet him each morning with the warmest, most genuine smiles, and that sets the tone for his whole day. He walks in happy, and that matters more than I can say. Mandarin is the primary language of the classroom, and within just a few months our son is adjusting beautifully to both the language and the Montessori environment. It is clear Chen Laoshi and Li Laoshi understand how toddlers learn and they create a space where immersion feels natural, not overwhelming. The classroom itself is spotless and beautifully organized, which reflects the care and intentionality they bring to everything. We feel so glad we found teachers this dedicated. Zhang Laoshi and Gu Laoshi at LePort Irvine Mandarin are a remarkable team for Primary (3-6 years old). We enrolled our daughter 6 months ago and the progress she has made already is hard to believe. She started the immersion program in November and is already conversational in basic daily routines and counting in Mandarin. That kind of growth in such a short time reflects directly on her teachers. Zhang Laoshi and Gu Laoshi bring complementary strengths that work beautifully together. Zhang Laoshi is structured and focused, keeping our daughter on track and making sure real learning is happening every day. Gu Laoshi brings warmth and playfulness that makes the classroom a place our daughter genuinely wants to be. Together they have created an environment where immersing in a new language feels exciting rather than intimidating. We could not be more pleased with how our daughter is thriving.

  I will start with the fact that neither I or my husband have any Chinese roots, we were looking for a highly rated Montessori school that could expose our daughter to a third language at the age where they are more likely to learn them. Well, this school has been just amazing in every way exceeding expectations, our daughter has been there for about a year and a half and is now able to have conversations in mandarin, (this is still mind blowing to me since she has no one to practice with at home), I sent her Audio to my international colleagues in Asia and they all say she sounds like a native speaker which is so amazing. It really helps so much the teachers speak to them in mandarin all the time, it is mind blowing to see her progress. The Montessori teaching style is wonderful and empowering for the kids to be independent and critical thinkers. It is beautiful how every game and activity is designed to have a practical lesson behind, even if it is “just playing” there is emphasis in being empathetic and emotionally intelligent with themselves and their friends. I love this school and would highly recommend it to anyone who is looking to broaden their kids language and skills in a wonderful environment of respect and learning. For reference my kid was 3 year and 9 months when she first started in Leport mandarin and she is now 5 yrs old.
