  What an amazing experience! As someone with an education background I was looking for something very specific for my children and found it at this school. I know first hand how important the teachers are to the school as a whole. The communication is great and everything seems easy and joyful. More importantly I have noticed the teachers truly happy and demonstrating amazing patience and love for the craft. The Enrichment Director and Miriam expressed how the school supports her to go above and beyond and is always pouring into the children and thinking outside of the box. She teaches science and cooking and runs the afterschool program alongside supporting teachers and parents. Specifically when an emergency occurs she stayed at school until 8 pm reassuring all parents that their Children were safe and taken care of . She expressed that she has been given the green light to focus on the children and excessive her expertise to meet children where they are. Her love and joy for teaching puts all of in awe and we appreciate the extra care she give to each child. The school is an amazing place to be apart of

  We couldn’t be happier with our experience at Rhoades Preschool. My oldest daughter started at the school at 2.5 years old and graduated PreK. She is now in Kindergarten and was extremely prepared for Kinder and I credit Rhoades for giving her such a strong academic foundation. She still talks about her preK teacher Miss Roseann who is wonderful. My younger daughter is currently at Rhoades and is thriving. She says “school is my favorite thing to do” and adores her teacher Miss Danielle. Miss Danielle is so warm and loving and makes the kids feel special. She is always filling their day with fun, creative activities and makes learning fun. The kids are exposed to so much more than a standard curriculum - for example they have Spanish, Mandarin, French, music, science, and even cooking. The other families have been great and it is a really wonderful community that we are thankful to be apart of.

  Our daughter's first year at The Rhoades Preschool has been the best decision we made. She has met so many great friends here and looks forward to going to school every week. She's learned so much from her Pre-K teacher Ms. Roseanne, Now knows her ABC's, numbers, vowels and so much more. I couldn't be happier we are grateful to her & all the teachers here that have helped with her growth, Including the wonderful Principal Mrs. Molenkamp who is so loving and kind. We've had a great experience for it being her first time in school. She will be continuing TK starting Fall very exciting! We will miss this little campus and all the great people we have met here, We are leaving with so many great memories and looking forward to the next chapter. Thank you Rhoades! :)

  I wanted to share an honest review of our experience at the Rhoades preschool. My family was really excited when Rhoades opened the preschool campus in August of 2022 and we truly tried to be as supportive as we could be for the staff and children. There were a few kinks that needed working out in the beginning of the school year, which we were very understanding of and supportive under the impression that if there were more serious issues that our concerns would be listened, but unfortunately that was not the case. Cheryl is the preschool principal and she is very friendly during one on one interactions, but if you bring an issue (hitting, class overcrowding, staffing concerns, poor communication) she is extremely dismissive. I had a few concerns that I hadn’t voiced because I didn’t want to bombard them, since I knew other parents were voicing concerns, but when the issue of overcrowding was really bad, Cheryl decided to split the classes by their age. My son was suppose to go on to the class preparing for prek and I even got an email from Cheryl telling me he was going to move up, but then another email saying that after talking to his teachers, he really liked a new teacher that started and because of his bond with one teacher she thought it was best to keep him back. I protested against keeping him back unless for academic reasons but the decision to keep him back was made by Cheryl and the teacher my son really bonded with quit a month later. When I approached Cheryl about moving him up, she told me the class is at its limit and legally she couldn’t do anything unless we wanted to move to Tuesday, Thursday which we could not do. I had a meeting with the head of school, Ms. McDuffie, who apologized and agreed there was a lot that needed to be addressed at the preschool campus. Ms. McDuffie then told me that before Rhoades had a preschool program that they saw a noticeable difference from students who started at Bright Horizons. The head of the Rhoades school resigned in May, before the end of the school year. We also decided to pull our son before the end of the school year.
