  Absolutely horrible with ZERO accountability! My daughter brought in her Macbook Air for a battery change before leaving for college. She was having issues where the laptop would completely shut down at like 30-37%, so it was apparent it was a battery issue as nothing else was wrong with the computer. Apple refused to touch it because it was now considered a "vintage" model, so ITech seemed like the perfect solution- WRONG DECISION! My daughter used her laptop the morning of dropoff. Aside from the dying battery, everything was fine. She gets the call from ITech, not only does she need a new battery, the screen is damaged and needs replaced- we can either pay some crazy fee to fix it, OR we can buy a refurbished model of the same computer from them! This computer screen was NOT broken when she brought it to the store!!! THE ONLY ISSUE WAS THE BATTERY! All of a sudden, there is a line down the left side of the screen and it's damaged from the inside out! It is known that if the battery installation is done improperly, the screen can be damaged. And coincidentally, the damage was from the inside out- there was no damage to the exterior of the screen. They held ZERO accountability for the damage they caused. They said she must have damaged it while transporting it, trying to place the blame on my daughter so we either pay for the repair they caused or buy a new computer. Once they realized I was not paying for their repair or purchasing a new computer, they texted me to tell me I could pick up my daughter's damaged computer with it's original battery- and they were so kind to waive the diagnostic charge. How nice of them. They waived the charge for the time during which they damaged my daughter's computer INSTEAD OF ADMITTING THEY DAMAGED THE COMPUTER AND FIXING THEIR MISTAKE!!! A $400 repair by the way!! I would NEVER take another electronic back to them for repair! Nor would I ever purchase something from this company! They should have done the right thing and repaired the damage they caused, but they didn't. Thanks to them, Apple got my business with the purchase of a brand new laptop because I would never give them a dime for their services or products after what they did. STAY AWAY- find an honest company that won't break your property and then place the blame on you- and definitely don't fall into their trap of buying their replacements if they do destroy your property.
