- MKMary kayJan 12, 20211.0I sent a package to my son on Dec. 12th. Going from Union, MO to Waterloo, IA. 5 hour drive. It took Union to get my package to St. Louis, 35 minute drive 19 days...where it immediately fell in a black hole. Today I tracked the package and guess what: January 11, 2021, 8:26 am Departed USPS Regional Facility METRO NY DISTRIBUTION CENTER Your item departed our USPS facility in METRO NY DISTRIBUTION CENTER on January 11, 2021 at 8:26 am. The item is currently in transit to the destination. Yeppers, it's in NY in transit to the destination. Amazing how efficient the USPS is. I called Union Post Office and the lovely girl said, "Well I can track it for you." I again, told her I just checked the tracking and it says it's in NY. Her intelligent response, "Well, it will get there eventually." DeJoy changed the postal services motto from, “Neither snow nor rain nor heat nor gloom of night stays these couriers from the swift completion of their appointed rounds...and we promise it will get there eventually...”
