  I have read a lot of negative reviews of this place and boy, if those things happened to me I would be upset also. This review I'm leaving is mainly because I'm an outsider and did one thing here: museums. The tickets are expensive but not so expensive when compared to anything else for sale and for your money you get a few hours worth of things to stare at, I don't want to ruin it so I'll just give a few examples: fish, deer, and reptiles. Start with the hunting museum up the stairs. It leads to the Aquarium and that leads to the Nat Geo Photo place which is kind of a shortcut past the boats in a dim hall with pretty pictures of animals to end back up at the beginning. It would be a shame to walk all the way to the aquarium and buy tickets there, go through that, skip the art one, wander around looking for the hunting one then go through that one just to end back up at the aquarium and then have to walk to the picture one just to end back at the hunting one. A crying shame. After that, buy some poles, or a boat or a gun, and head home happy unless you only have tap to pay. Then your day is going to go south. Bring your physical cards. I assumed tap to pay was down during the time I was there but it seems to not be available at checkout based on other reviews. Though I thought I tapped to pay at the aquarium so I don't know. I mainly came for the awesome exhibits. That was worth it.

  When bass pro switched from traditional retailer to a “destination brand “ they stopped caring about customers. This ruined their entire business and Johnny Morris’s name. Corporate would rather lose millions of life long customers to sell a couple overpriced vacations. I’ll never buy anything from them again.

  On June 29th I ordered 4 items from Bass Pro on a gift card I received on Father’s Day. Bass Pro sent the order on 2 separate FedEx shipments. The first shipment never left Bass Pro (according to FedEx customer service) and was delivered to somewhere else on June 29th at 12:46 pm, signed for by D. Murphy. I entered a complaint with FedEx that it was never delivered to me, after a text sent to me said it was delivered to me. I had to make numerous phone calls about these items. I spoke to Donna at Bass Pro Customer service on June 30th about the missing shipment. She re-ordered the missing shipment. The second shipment from the original order was delivered to me on July 1st as a result of the FedEx tracking complaint. I spoke to Wendy at Bass Pro Customer service on July 1st at 6:40pm to not deliver the re-ordered items as I had already gotten the items. She stated that she couldn’t do that and instead emailed me a FedEx label to return them. She stated “I have to box/package them and take to a drop off point for FedEx or the 2 items will be charged to me.” The two missing items that were re-ordered showed up by FedEx on July 2nd and July 3rd. The experience of selecting items online from a Father’s Day gift card was supposed to be pleasurable one. Instead, Bass Pro made it incredibly difficult.

  I would give 0 stars if possible. Regarding Virginia Gun law changes, Bass Pro was not proactive on messaging, planning, or awareness and on June 26 issued a memo to all US Stores to not accept new orders for restricted firearms and any order not delivered by fedex that day would be cancelled. My order was placed before this restriction AND received from fedex at the store. When I showed up, they said they could not transfer it and they showed me this memo as to justify they can't do transfers anymore. No where in the memo was it said that they could not process transfers, only that they couldn't place new orders. I called customer service, they were not aware of this memo and gladly would have ordered these items for me.(only for them to be cancelled later). The corporate offices I called were unaware of this memo or policy as well.

  Huge modern stores selling boats up to $100,000 and yet tap to pay is not available. It's right there. I mean you know you can see it on the card reader but hey why take that payment? Also, your digital advertising in your search strategy is garbage. Must be non-existent. How many times I searched using your actual boat model? Looking for a trailer and zero hits on Bass pro like shame shame shame.
