- EMEvan Morrison3 days ago1.0It is beyond me why a simple customer service interaction had to be met with so much attitude and negativity. I accidentally went to the wrong post office to pick up my mailbox key after waiting more than eight weeks to receive it. I explained the situation and simply asked for help finding the correct USPS location. Instead of helping me, the employee repeatedly focused on asking who had given me the incorrect information and seemed more interested in assigning blame than assisting me. I even showed the text message from my leasing manager that directed me to that location. I acknowledged that the information was incorrect, which is exactly why I was asking for help. Rather than pointing me in the right direction, I was met with hostility and an unhelpful attitude throughout the interaction. I eventually went to the correct USPS location, where the staff were courteous, helpful, and resolved my issue without any problems. If you have another option, I would avoid this location based on my experience.

Offer them grace and patience, and you will receive their great service in return. In spite of their incredibly difficult job, they listen carefully and want to help you. Work with them and be proud of your Westport post office.

This time it's because my mailbox sign reads as vacant, despite my name being written half an inch above said mailbox and has been for the past two years. Everyday I wonder whose mail I'll get today. Someone from another building? Maybe a neighbor that moved out six months ago? Certain not my own.
