  My stylist was Justin. he was very energetic and kept me entertained during the service with his travel talks. after we were done, i liked my hair, esp the the money piece but i wasnt loving it. when i called back, justin was more than happy to squeeze me in and made sure i was satisfied when i left this time. def recommend justin.

  I have gone to SOK a couple of times now, and it’s been a great experience! I had never fully colored my hair before, but my stylist Tammy always helped with my understanding on best approach! Highly recommend.

  I’ve been going to Tammy for the past three years, and I truly trust her with my hair! She does both my color and cuts, and she knows my hair so well at this point. Finding someone who really understands curly hair can be difficult, but Tammy is truly an expert. She knows how to cut, shape, and color my curls in a way that works with my natural texture and keeps my hair looking healthy. Tammy goes above and beyond and she listens to what I want while also giving her professional opinion on what will work best for my hair. After three years, I wouldn’t trust anyone else with it. Highly recommend Tammy, especially if you have curly hair!

  Worst haircut of my life. I donated my hair and requested a blunt bob with Tammy Y, which cost an astounding $140. I’ll let the photos speak for themselves. The first photo is what I looked like at the end of my appointment, smiling because I had no idea what the cut actually looked like because Tammy never showed me the cut before she started styling it, which camouflaged how terrible it actually was. She never showed me the cut when it was finished and I trusted her because you’d think a person charging $140 for a haircut is an expert, right? The next two photos were taken the same evening when I got home and I started to realize how long it felt in the back compared to the front. The TikTok screenshots are the inspiration that Tammy Y and I discussed prior to the cut. As soon as I realized how terrible the cut was, I texted the salon to get it fixed. They got me in the next day with Tammy Y again and she shortened the back, but it’s still longer in the back than it is in the front, and so much shorter than I had asked for.
