  The ladies at Studio 209 are wonderful!! They make me feel welcome and pampered every time I go in. My haircut is always how I like it. When it comes to getting my hair treatments and my hair colored, they never fail me! Ashley and Jessica always take care of me!! I highly recommend Studio 209 to everyone!

  Extremely disappointing experience — $400 service, poor results, damaged clothing, and inadequate resolution I’ve been going to this salon since 2019, and unfortunately my last two visits have been my worst experiences there. My previous visit at the west location left my hair extremely patchy, although Andrea was able to fix it and I’ve always considered her a very thorough and talented stylist. After that experience, I wish I had simply waited for her availability. Yesterday, I booked with Janay for a balayage and spent $400. Unfortunately, my hair barely looked different and was nowhere close to the reference photos/video I provided. I understand that a stylist cannot guarantee an exact result, but the stylist did not even open my reference video. If I had been told beforehand that she wasn't comfortable or capable of getting my hair anywhere close to the reference, I would have simply canceled the appointment rather than spend $400 on a result I was unhappy with. The service itself was also extremely disappointing. The processing time went beyond what I was originally told, and I felt forgotten while the stylist was talking and gossiping with her coworker instead of focusing on my hair. I also felt that my hair was handled extremely roughly. I had to specifically ask them to brush my hair from the bottom up because of how aggressively it was being brushed. The handling was so abrasive that you can actually see my head moving in the security footage. On top of the poor service, my face was stained with dye and my $148 dress was damaged with bleach. The bleach stains were clearly visible when the stylist lifted my hair and took pictures, yet I was never informed that my dress had been stained. If I had been warned that bleach could get onto my clothing, I absolutely would have removed the dress or changed into something else. I've never had this happen at a hair appointment before. What made the situation even more disappointing was how it was handled afterward. No redo of the service was offered, despite how far the result was from what I requested. Regarding my damaged $148 dress, I was only offered $50, which I do not feel is a reasonable resolution for an item that was permanently damaged during the appointment. The one positive thing I can say is that my hair remained relatively healthy because I added bond treatment. However, paying $400 for a service that barely changed my hair, was nowhere near my requested result, involved rough handling and extended processing time, and resulted in my face being stained and my $148 dress being damaged was completely unacceptable. I have had genuinely good experiences with Andrea and Josiah, who I feel actually care about their clients, their hair, and the quality of the service they provide. That's why I know this salon is capable of much better. Unfortunately, based on this experience, I would not recommend Janay and would strongly encourage management to address how this service and the damage to my clothing were handled. I hope they take this feedback seriously because customers should be able to trust that their hair, time, and personal belongings are being treated with care.

  JAY is the best! She gets to know you and the style you are shooting for, offers her expert advice and allows you to feel so comfortable and confident with your choices. Best haircuts I’ve gotten in YEARS, so much so I don’t have to blow dry or straighten my hair because of the cut I have from her. The layers and perfectly framed face layers do their native every time! 💕😍
