  Allie is wonderful! I’ve had her do my hair a couple of times and she also helped with a color correction for my daughter’s hair. Every time she does an amazing job!

  Erika was wonderful - fun and vibrant and welcoming. She went out of her way to make sure my hair was perfect for my big day. Plus she's crafty and can make beautiful hair pieces - made mine from an antique pin! Highly recommend.

  I am a bit disappointed in the service I received yesterday at your salon. When I sat in the chair at the stylists table my knees nearly touched the ground. I was offered a booster seat after being told the chairs are broken & do not raise up as they should. The booster was a rectangular memory foam chunk approximately 1.5 ft by 1ft and at least 8 inches thick. I am 5' 3", I had to lift myself up by the arm rests to get onto the booster. The foam booster did not fit in the seat well and gave extremely uneven support. I found myself constantly sliding off this cushion to the right. This made the over 3 hours it took for my nails to be completed an endurance test to say the least. I have scoliosis and several other lower back issues. I felt crippled for the rest of the day. Moving into the pedicure chair for another hour did not help. That chair was not more comfortable. Below are four pics of the final look of the polish on my nails. The cat eye polish was applied unevenly. This is seen in the first three pics near the base of the nail where the color looks piecey. The last two pics are ones I found on line. That is the way I expected the cat eye to look. I showed the stylist the pics and had a discussion about how I wanted the black to be more visible and the cat eye to be in the center of the nail or at least less obtrusive or prominent. I wanted darker with less shine. I got the opposite - more shine and less dark. I did say all these words to the stylist before she started! I asked specifically for the square shape as in the last pic, very slightly rounded on the corner. The length is perfect. The shape is not at all. The 4th pic is illustrating the thickness. Very thick, thicker than necessary. The nails are also shaped in a very unnatural shape and will not look very good when they start to grow out. I specifically asked when I booked if the shop could do builder gel. Several other times I have had builder gel applied to my natural nail and cured in the UV light. Never before have I had what the stylist said was "structured nails." I have never felt pain or heat on my nails and finger tips like I did yesterday. I believe that is a side effect of the product used at this salon. I was offered a beverage upon signing in at the desk. I chose wine. I had not had a glass of wine for several months so I thought that would be nice for a change. I tried to choke down a few sips. The wine was so terribley bitter I could not finish it. When I moved to the pedicure chair I spoke up and asked for a tea. The receptionist put it on to steep and left for the day. My pedicure was half over before someone figured it out and gave me a fresh cup. The pedicure was all right, nothing fancy and the stylist seemed a bit disorganized. The length of my nails is just right. And the stylist did a very lovely job on my cuticles; both fingers and toes!!! I will add my two cents even though it was not asked for here. I believe the salon has a lot of potential. I sat there for four hours looking at the minimalist but lovely art and interior design. There was nothing to keep my interest for that long period of time; no TV, no window to look out, no conversation to pass the time. The salon is also an art gallery but being stationary for four hours I was unable to enjoy all the art so that did not help pass the time. They also sell local art and funky baubles. I bought a fun male anatomy shaped egg plant catnip toy. It's super cute and my cat loves it!! But that did not make my manicure experience better at all. I don't believe I will go back. I would prefer a salon with comfortable chairs, friendly personable staff and transparent product discussion with competent timely application.
