FEATURES Smooth out fine lines and wrinkles Injection process time, 10 to 15 minutes Pain level varies, none to mild Increases skin resilience FDA approved Noticeable results four to five days WHAT IS BOTOX? Botox is the most popular non-surgical cosmetic treatment, with more than 6 million treatments administered per year. Botox is used to effectively treat, reduce and prevent the appearance of facial wrinkles and fine lines. POPULAR TREATMENTS Lip Flip Brow lift Smile Lines Under-Eye Smoothing Chin-illite HOW DOES BOTOX WORK? Botox is injected directly into the muscles that are causing the wrinkles by using a very tiny needle. It blocks the nerve impulses from the brain telling the targeted muscle to move. This in turn inhibits the muscle from contracting, thereby relaxing the skin that lays over the muscles to the point where the wrinkles gradually soften up and often times disappear all together. For this reason, many patients consider Botox to be the best wrinkle treatment available. AM I A GOOD CANDIDATE FOR BOTOX? Botox injections are for both men and women that are looking to achieve or retain their youthful appearance. The majority of patients seeking treatment are at least 30 years old or older, but patients younger than that also seek out Botox as a proactive step in preventing wrinkles. If you have excessive skin laxity, Botox may not be able to produce noticeable results. If you have lines that are already imprinted or etched into the skin, Botox will help soften those lines, not completely erase them. HOW LONG WILL BOTOX LAST? It typically will last about 3-4 months, depending on the individual. Factors that influence how long it lasts include amount of Botox used, history of Botox usage, and lifestyle factors. WHAT SHOULD I AVOID BEFORE BOTOX TREATMENT? Avoid taking aspirin, ibuprofen, or fish oil for 2 weeks prior to treatment. (Note: If your personal physician prescribed aspirin to you, do not stop aspirin without your physician’s approval). Taking arnica orally for a week before and after your treatment can help minimize bruising. WHAT SHOULD I AVOID AFTER BOTOX TREATMENT? Don’t exercise, rub the area, go in hot tub or Jacuzzi or do anything that will increase circulation to prevent the Botox from traveling too far.

INTRODUCING EMSCULPT Emsculpt is the only device proven to build muscle and burn fat simultaneously. One 30 minute session is equivalent to doing 20,000 squats or sit ups! The Emsculpt procedure is currently FDA cleared to treat your abdominals, buttocks, arms, calves and thighs. A great non-surgical alternative to the brazilian butt lift. WHAT IS EMSCULPT? It simply sounds to good to be true: EMSCULPT uses high-intensity focused electromagnetic energy to trigger a supra maximal contractions. These contractions cannot be achieved by voluntary muscle action, no matter how hard you work out. What sets EMSCULPT apart is the ability to destroy fat cells while building the muscle. Response is rapid compared to other fat reduction tools. Most people see result in two days. Four treatments is essentially is about the look of six months worth of dieting and exercising . HOW DOES IT WORK? The non-invasive HIFEM® procedure induces powerful muscle contractions not achievable through voluntary contractions. When exposed to strong contractions, the muscle tissue is forced to adapt to such extreme condition. It responds with a deep remodeling of its inner structure that results in muscle building and sculpting your body. AM I A CANDIDATE? Anyone is a candidate. WHAT IS THE TREATMENT TIME? 30 minute treatment with minimum of 4 sessions scheduled 2-3 days apart. Your provider will help you create a treatment plan tailored to your specific goals. WHAT DOES IT FEEL LIKE? The EMSCULPT procedure feels like an intensive workout. You can lay down and relax during the treatment. IS THERE ANY DOWNTIME? ANY PRE/POST TREATMENT PREPARATION? The EMSCULPT is non-invasive and requires no recovery time or any pre/post treatment preparation. HOW QUICKLY WILL I SEE RESULTS? You begin to feel tangible results right after the treatment. Positive results are usually reported two to four weeks after the last session and continue to improve for several weeks following the treatments.

This is not a surgical treatment. Actual treatment with JUVÉDERM® injectable gels can take 15 minutes to 60 minutes, depending on which area of your face is being treated. DOES IT HURT? JUVÉDERM® injectable gels labeled with “XC” contain pain-reducing lidocaine to help manage pain or discomfort during the injection. You may also ask your aesthetic healthcare provider about a topical numbing cream or ice to help further minimize discomfort. WHAT IS THE AVERAGE TREATMENT COST? The cost not only includes the price of the product but, more importantly, the skill and expertise of the specialist or healthcare professional who is administering your treatment. Look for someone who is licensed and trained and has experience treating patients with the JUVÉDERM® Collection. Be wary of discount products or “cheap” JUVÉDERM® Collection treatments —if it sounds too good to be true, it probably is. It is more important to find an experienced specialist who will take the time to understand your treatment goals and develop a treatment plan that is right for you. HOW LONG DO RESULTS LAST? Results may last one year to two years, with optimal treatment and depending on the formula used. Please read each product description to see how long results last with each formula, based on what was observed in clinical studies. ARE THERE ANY REASONS WHY I SHOULDN'T RECEIVE TREATMENT? Do not receive JUVÉDERM® injectable gel fillers if you have a history of severe allergic reactions (anaphylaxis), or if you are allergic to lidocaine or the proteins (Gram-positive bacterial proteins) used to make hyaluronic acid (HA) in JUVÉDERM® injectable gel fillers.

WHAT ARE FILLERS? Fillers are products such as collagen, hyaluronic acid and calcium hydroxyl apatite that rejuvenate facial skin by reducing or eliminating wrinkles. Facial fillers are temporary, however long-lasting (results vary) solutions, used to contour or increase volume, in areas of the face that have lost tone or fullness. WHAT ARE FILLERS MADE OF? Most dermal fillers have a temporary effect, because they contain materials that are absorbed by the body over time. The FDA has approved only one product made from a material that remains in the body and is not absorbed. Some dermal fillers also contain lidocaine, which is intended to decrease pain or discomfort related to the injection. The materials used in dermal fillers include: Collagen: Collagen is a type of protein that is a major part of skin and other tissues in the body. Sources of purified collagen used in soft tissue fillers can be from cow (bovine) or human cells. The effects of collagen fillers generally last for 3-4 months. They are the shortest lasting of injectable filler materials. Hyaluronic acid: Hyaluronic acid is a type of sugar (polysaccharide) that is present in body tissues, such as in skin and cartilage. It is able to combine with water and swell when in gel form, causing a smoothing/filling effect. Sources of hyaluronic acid used in dermal fillers can be from bacteria or rooster combs (avian). In some cases, hyaluronic acid used in dermal fillers is chemically modified (crosslinked) to make it last longer in the body. The effects of this material last approximately 6 – 12 months. Calcium hydroxylapatite: Calcium hydroxylapatite is a type of mineral that is commonly found in human teeth and bones. For wrinkle filling in the face or for the hand, calcium hydroxylapatite particles are suspended in a gel-like solution and then injected into the wrinkle in the face or under the skin in the back of the hand. The effects of this material last approximately 18 months. While in the body, calcium hydroxylapatite will be visible in x-rays and may obscure underlying features. Poly-L-lactic acid (PLLA): PLLA is a biodegradable, biocompatible man-made polymer. This material has wide uses in absorbable stitches and bone screws. PLLA is a long lasting filler material that is given in a series of injections over a period of several months. The effects of PLLA generally become increasingly apparent over time (over a period of several weeks) and its effects may last up to 2 years. Polymethylmethacrylate beads (PMMA microspheres): PMMA is a non-biodegradable, biocompatible, man-made polymer. This material is used in other medical devices, such as bone cement and intraocular lenses. PMMA beads are tiny, round, smooth particles that are not absorbed by the body. When used as a soft tissue filler, PMMA beads are suspended in a gel-like solution that contains cow (bovine) collagen and injected into the face. WHAT ARE DERMAL FILLERS? Dermal fillers are substance/gels injected beneath the skin’s surface to smooth wrinkles and add volume and contour. The products are composed of stabilised hyaluronic acid (HA) which occurs naturally in the cells of the skin. It works by drawing in water and therefore augmenting the skin, thus reducing the wrinkle treated. It is by no means permanent and is totally biodegradable. Depending on what type of dermal fillers, results can last between one to two years. Dermal fillers are very safe and have been used for over a decade. The most popular brand of dermal filler has sold over 20 million syringes. WHAT AREAS OF THE FACE CAN DERMAL FILLERS BE USED? Best Dermal Filler Areas The face loses volume and contour when we age, the bones and the soft tissue dissolve and contribute to appearance of sagging. Dermal fillers may be used to replace this volume loss and restore the structural support, giving the patient a more youthful appearance. The aim is to make the face more harmonious and rejuvenated. For instance, the lips may be injected to improve their shape, size, symmetry and proportion. The cheeks may be injected to make a face more defined and attractive. An underdeveloped chin may be injected to make it appear more projected and proportionate. The nose may be injected to improve the shape and its contour. IS IT PAINFUL? Generally, basic dermal filler procedures require no anaesthetic as the dermal filler contains local anaesthetic. It is simple and straight-forward, involving a few tiny injections directly into the skin, and takes between 15–30 minutes. Make-up can be applied immediately after the procedure and you can go straight back to work. Result can be seen immediately. Optimal results can be maintained over a long period of time through regular repeated treatments. The procedure varies from person to person depending on your requirements and the severity of the wrinkles that are being treated, in addition to the particular dermal filler being administered.

WHAT AREAS CAN BE TREATED Microneedling is extremely versatile and can be used on all parts of the body including the face, neck, décolleté, arms, hands, legs, abdomen and back. The lightweight and ergonomic design allows treatment of very small areas such as the sides of the nose and below and above the eyes. WHAT IS MICRONEEDLING? Microneedling is a minimally invasive cosmetic procedure that uses small needles that prick the skin to stimulate collagen production. The idea is that pinpricks from the procedure cause slight injury to the skin and the skin responds by making new collagen-rich tissue. This new skin tissue is, in turn, more even in tone and texture. It’s normal for the skin to lose collagen due to age or injury. Also known as collagen induction therapy, this treatment is effective for the appearance of acne scars and wrinkles. CONDITIONS TREATED Large Pores Fine Lines and Wrinkles Acne Scars Loose Skin Uneven Skin Tones and Sun Spots Surgical Scars IS THERE DOWNTIME ASSOCIATED WITH MICRONEEDLING? Microneedling has very little downtime. Your skin may become red and there is slight inflammation which disappears within 24 hours. Depending on the depth of your treatment your skin may be pink and slightly peel for 2-4 days post treatment. Mineral based makeup can be applied within 24 hours. DOES MICRONEEDLING WORK ON ALL SKIN TONES? Yes! Microneedling is considered a safe and effective treatment for all skin colors and does not produce post inflammatory hyperpigmentation. WHO IS A GOOD CANDIDATE? Microneedling is safe for all skin types because the epidermis is not damaged throughout the treatment. Microneedling is excellent for treating sensitive areas that can otherwise be difficult to address, such as around the eyes, the neck, and the backs of hands. Call for a free consultation to find out what treatment is best for your skin care needs! WHY IS PRP RECOMMENDED WITH MICRONEEDLING? As a way of enhancing your treatment PRP (Platelet Rich Plasma) can be incorporated with the microneedling directly into wrinkles, acne scars, and areas of discoloration. Using PRP with microneedling can produce a “wow” result for clients, and decreases healing time, stimulates collagen production, and enhances the health of the skin.

Since human skin typically regenerates at approximately 30-day intervals, skin improvement with microdermabrasion is temporary and needs to be repeated at average intervals of two to four weeks for continued improvement. Usually, multiple treatments (six to 12 sessions) are recommended to see a significant improvement. HOW OFTEN SHOULD YOU BE TREATED? Microdermabrasion can be done as frequently as weekly or up to every eight weeks depending on your skin’s tolerance and desired cosmetic effects. Many people choose to start with weekly treatments for three sessions, then change to a monthly maintenance regimen. HOW OFTEN SHOULD YOU BE TREATED? WHAT IS RADIO FREQUENCY SKIN TIGHTENING? Sagging skin, wrinkles and fine lines are common issues that stem from genetics or photodamage caused by exposure to the sun. Over time, collagen and elastin, two components present within your skin, break down and cause your skin to lose its elasticity. During a radio frequency (RF) skin tightening procedure, heat is used to encourage the production of new collagen and elastin. The renewed production of these components helps to eliminate wrinkles and fine lines, and tightens skin. HOW DOES IT WORK? RF skin tightening works by targeting the tissue beneath the outer layer of your skin, or epidermis, with radio frequency energy. This energy generates heat, resulting in new collagen production. This procedure also triggers fibroplasia, the process in which the body forms new fibrous tissue and stimulates the production of collagen, causing collagen fibers to become shorter and more tense. At the same time, the molecules that make up collagen are left undamaged. Skin elasticity increases and loose, sagging skin is tightened. RADIO FREQUENCY SKIN TIGHTENING IS GREAT FOR: RF treatments can be used on areas of the body other than the face – including the neck, abdomen, arms, thighs, knees and buttocks. In some cases, patients undergo treatments for the purpose of body contouring, which reduces fat in addition to tightening sagging skin and wrinkles. IS IT SAFE? RF skin tightening is considered to be very safe; the only common side effect is mild to moderate pain during treatment. HOW DOES IT WORK? During treatment, an RF skin tightening machine will send alternating currents from the tip of an electrode to your tissue at a frequency between 0.3 and 10 MHz. This process bypasses the amount of melanin pigment present in your outer layer of skin, making the treatment effective for all skin types and colors. The pain caused is often rated on a five-point pain scale, where zero is equivalent to no pain and four is equivalent to an intolerable level of pain. Most patients who undergo RF skin tightening rate the pain at a level of one, with the remainder reporting a pain level of two. IS THERE ANY DOWNTIME? ANY PRE/POST TREATMENT PREPARATION? RF skin tightening requires no downtime or post-treatment skin care. HOW MANY PROCEDURES ARE NEEDED? It’s also a gradual process, so while you can be in and out of the office in under an hour, you’ll need two to six treatments usually (depending on the size of the area you’re treating, delivered 7-10 days apart.

WHAT IS ONCOLOGY ESTHETICS? Oncology Esthetics focuses on unique challenges that cancer patients face during treatment. Cancer treatments are harsh and damaging to the skin, leaving your skin more delicate than ever. For many, the skin becomes dry, inflamed, red, itchy, and extremely sensitive. In addition, cancer therapies can cause hair loss and changes to the finger and toe nails. At Ageless Skin and Laser Center, we’re proud to offer expert care and effective treatments to keep you on the track of wellness. HOW DOES IT WORK? Oncology Esthetics involves advanced education that is designed to provide estheticians with the knowledge of how to modify skincare/spa treatments to ensure a safe outcome for your skin if you are living with cancer. Most people look for comfort and relief from the unpleasant side effects associated with cancer treatments and therapies such as dryness, loss of elasticity and rashes, among other issues. Oncology Esthetics complements medical oncology treatments and falls under the integrative approach. Each client has unique circumstances and may respond differently to cancer or cancer treatments. Estheticians trained in Oncology Esthetics will seek to approach your skincare treatments with a heightened level of sensitivity based on the conditions you may be dealing with. MODIFICATIONS THAT CAN BE MADE IN ONCOLOGY ESTHETICS: The exclusive use of oncology-approved skin care lines Avoiding excessive heat, pressure or friction during treatment steps Avoiding exfoliants such as chemical peels and harsh scrubs Limiting the use of stimulating and irritating products Modified massage techniques based on ports, edema, surgical sites, etc. Customized home care programs to further support the preparation and healing of sensitized skin IS IT SAFE TO HAVE SKIN CARE/SPA SERVICES WHILE IN ACTIVE TREATMENT OR RECOVERY? It is absolutely safe to have skin care services while in active treatment or recovery, if you are going to an esthetician who is certified in oncology skin care and using a product line that is oncology-approved. The timing of oncology treatments in relation to skin care services is important and should always be considered. A release from your doctor is also required. HOW ARE ONCOLOGY ESTHETICS TREATMENTS DIFFERENT TO TRADITIONAL SPA TREATMENTS? Oncology Esthetic treatments involve an in-depth analysis and understanding of the cancer journey of each client. As oncology skin care therapists, we are trained to identify and understand the long-term side effects of cancer on the skin and how to provide treatment modifications that won’t cause reactions that will further compromise already sensitized skin. We are going to take all aspects of a client’s situation into consideration before determining the best treatment for your skin, such as the following: Are you experiencing any rashes or irritations due to your treatments? Any acne-like symptoms caused by medication? Any changes in your skin tone, temperature or texture due to treatment? Is there any neuropathy occurring, so we know about appropriate pressure and temperature? Have you had any lymph nodes removed, so we know if and how we can offer massage during the treatment? Do you have an active port? If so, we have to consider what quadrants of the body can receive massage services. Also, are there any specific draping requirements? Once we have a clear understanding of your situation, we can determine what modifications need to be made during treatment to keep you safe and comfortable. WHAT ARE THE BENEFITS OF ONCOLOGY ESTHETICS? Our skin is our largest organ. What is happening in and on our body will always reflect through the condition of our skin. When a cancer diagnosis is given, it is time to prepare the skin for the effects of the treatments that may lie ahead. Well-prepared skin will be less likely to react and flare as a result of treatment. Once treatment has begun, we are managing symptoms through skin care services to reduce inflammation, redness, irritation and dryness, for example. Lastly, in recovery, we are rebuilding and restoring the barrier function of the skin to promote the growth of new healthy skin cells.

WHAT IS VAGINAL REJUVENATION? Vaginal Rejuvenation Ultra Femme 360™ Is a non-surgical vaginal rejuvenation treatment which uses ultrasound energy and radio frequency energy. Without surgery or downtime, Ultra Femme 360™ tightens and lifts labial folds and tightens the vaginal canal. The procedure triggers the body to rejuvenate the vagina by increasing blood supply to the treated areas, rebuilding new collagen. It’s also effective for incontinence and menopause symptoms, such as itching, burning, dryness and painful intercourse. HOW DOES IT WORK? ULTRA Femme 360 uses two attachments to address the two target areas, the vaginal canal and the labial area. For the treatment of the labia, the entire vulvar area is heated using radio frequency to stimulate collagen synthesis and blood supply for rejuvenation and heightened sensitivity. Focused thermal energy disrupts old collagen fibers encouraging new ones to form. When treating the vaginal canal, a different attachment is used and inserted to access the entire vaginal canal. Radio frequency is transmitted into the vaginal mucosa to stimulate the production of new collagen and enhanced blood flow. VAGINAL REJUVENATION IS GREAT FOR: Rejuvenation of the vagina and entire vulvar and area including: Plumping of Labia Majora Lifting and firming of Labia Minora Tightening of Introitus (vaginal opening) Tightening of Vaginal Canal Tightening of Perineum Increased Blood Flow to Clitoris May decrease stress incontinence WHAT IS THE PROCESS? ULTRA Femme 360 allows patients the ability to address the area or areas of concern to them. You can choose to treat the vaginal canal, labia, or both at the same treatment session. A water -based gel is first applied to the skin of the labia area and the radio frequency energy is delivered in pulses as the hand-piece is moved across the area. For the vagina a special adapter is used to treat the entire vaginal canal. There is no pain or irritation during the procedure, only a warming sensation. Treatment time is short, usually 20 – 30 minutes. A treatment of four sessions, spaced one to two weeks apart is conducted to achieve the optimal results. Some improvements can usually been seen and felt immediately post treatment, with the full results being achieved 4 week after your final treatment as the collagen continues to remodel. Maintenance treatments may be recommended annually. HOW MANY TREATMENTS ARE NEEDED? A full treatment series is recommended. This is 3-4 treatments 14 days apart. You will see maximum results 1-2 months after the last treatment. This can last up to 1 year. Yearly maintenance treatments are recommended. BEFORE TREATMENT: Eat healthy foods. Drink at least 8 glasses of water 2 days prior and for 4 days afterword. Avoid caffeine or diuretics for 24 hours prior to your procedure. Wear comfortable clothing to the appointment. Removal all jewelry. Shave all hair in the treatment area prior to the appointment. Must have a gynecology exam with in the last year with a normal PAP smear. TREATMENT DAY Postpone your treatment if you are on your period. You may be weighed and photographed at the beginning of your appointment. This is the most objective way to see change. Your photos will never be used for any education or promotion without your consent. Treatment areas will be marked and oil or a gel may be applied. The treatment area will be exposed to various degrees of heat from the Exilis Ultra 360. This is usually comfortable, but you may experience intense heat. The heat is adjustable and can immediately be minimized for comfort as needed. Treatment usually last 30-45 minutes. AFTER YOUR TREATMENT Thirty minutes of light physical exercise or activity is beneficial with 12 hours of the procedure. Be aware that smoking, excess alcohol consumption, recent surgical procedures, ongoing medication, poor hydration and eating disorders may lead to suboptimal results. Expect some redness, swelling, and tissue tenderness for up to 48 hours afterwards. Bruising, skin blisters and burns are rare. You may have dry skin for several days or weeks in the treatment area. Wear a light pantiliner for several days for spot bleeding. Photos are recommended at 4 weeks and 3 months after your treatment series to visualize full results. Refrain from intercourse for 7 days after procedure.
