  I have known James and Michelle Benasillo since the mid eighties. Formally Scissorium, Salon S has continued its tradition of providing super professional hair styling, cutting, and coloring. The staff are amazing and if it weren't for James and Michelle, I don't know what I would do. Michelle has a gift for creating subtle highlights and listens to you. James is un artiste and knows exactly what kind of cut suits you. The staff is personable, welcoming, and professional. Kim is awesome as she deals with appointments and requests. I highly recommend Salon S: professional, llow key, and personable.

  Salon S is a beautiful salon with a ton of parking which is rare for downtown Northvale. The front desk is friendly and welcoming. Nicole cuts my hair and is a best around! I highly recommend Salon S and Nicole.

  Salon S is Amazing! James is a hair artist! He never disappoints!!! I have had the pleasure of going to Salon S for over 35 years...For my Wedding 35 years ago to this past Saturday July 25, 2026 Salon S has never disappointed me. Always trendy, age appropriate and so carefully detailed. A Family like staff, always welcoming and pleasant greeting you with a very Warm Hello. Side Note... Michelle has been coloring my hair (Sadly) for quite some time and has always been mindful as I get older. I moved to Delaware some 4 hours away more than 15 years ago, and I still now make a weekend trek to go to Salon S to get my hair done. I feel its well worth it. Salon S gives me the confidence and the feeling of being Whole again. Thank you for everything James and Michelle!!!!!

  I've been coming to this salon for over six years, and I can't recommend it enough! Christina is not only an incredibly skilled hairstylist, but she's also genuinely caring and always provides thoughtful, personalized recommendations based on what works best for you. I truly appreciate that she takes the time to listen and puts her clients' needs first. The entire staff is warm, welcoming, and friendly, making every visit a great experience.

  Been going to Salon S in Northvale for 20 plus years never once disappointed. Fabulous place and wonderful people. Michelle you are spot on with my color every time 🫶 always a pleasure!!!
