  Fantastic salon with a great staff. The assistant, Rachel, did a very good scalp massage and hair rinsing! Joe is an outstanding stylist who gave me tips on how to improve my hair health and style. Best haircut I’ve had in a long time and absolutely would recommend Gumdrop to anyone!

  I have been a client at Gumdrop in Montclair for about 9 8th years. It's always wonderful. Joe listens carefully, then works his magic. He is a true artist. Simone, at the desk, takes good care of my appointments and payments. She is so pleasant and accommodating. 5/5 stars.

  All the staff is so friendly and hospitable. Hair washes are like a mini spa treatment for your scalp. Andros is great with curly hair, and showing him a pic of the style you want is all you need to get a perfect cut!

  Joe listened to my hair problems and seemed to be in my head with his response. It was if he was channeling my hair. I am so happy i chose him as a hairdresser, someone who listens to the client! …and is an expert at haircutting !

  I needed a last minute haircut before my vacation and happened to get an appointment at Gumdrop same day. I was very pleasantly surprised with the service and am overall very happy with my haircut. My hairstylist was Aris, she checked in with me on what I was looking for and made sure she was checking in throughout the service to make sure it was what I wanted. I didn’t want a blow out after my cut and she made sure to add some leave in products for hydration that left my hair feeling soft. Would definitely recommend Aris for a haircut, will be back!
