  Admittedly I'm not a typical Sephora customer, so losing my business isn't going to be significant. However, on the occasion, when I do need a product, I have always received excellent service when I stepped into the Soho Sephora near my office. So I thought I would give the Sephora in Jersey City a try. I stepped into the Sephora that's part of Kohl's because I was looking for help finding a product. I approached the three employees who were having a great conversation, I hated to interrupt them almost as much as they hated to be interior, but I did. I asked a question about the product and they pointed in a general direction and said "it's over there" and immediately got back the conversation. I looked for 3 to 5 minutes and could not find what I was looking for. Eventually I walked back across the store and interrupted them a second time. Still no offer to walk over to the section with me to find the product. So I directly asked. Can you show me? It was clear that my attempt to spend money in their store was highly annoying! I gave up and just ordered a product online. THIS is why retail is dead. I understand that I'm old, but I cannot wrap my head around why someone would bother to show up for work at a retail establishment and go to such great lengths to keep someone from spending money. This Sephora and very likely the Kohl's itself Will eventually see the same fate as SEARS. I would say sooner rather than later.

  Maria G. helped me get the perfect shade of foundation and felt like i was the only person important to her. Her confidence with Dior products and shade matching was very noticeable. I didnt feel rushed and she even talked me into coming back to get the right skincare for my mature skin. I highly recommend her

  Lovely Sephora and very friendly staff members! Polina nailed it!! I needed a new makeup and she helped me pick literally everything I needed — all the correct shades and undertones, as I do not understand any of that. Polina was very understanding and listened carefully to help me pick up what I wanted. I wish all the staff was so client-oriented. Now I have my cosmetics bag’s so ready, I’m very glad I stopped by such a great location.
