Let's dive right in! If you know, you know! Hard to please - everything has to be just so for me and my bestie. A+ for Woodhouse across the board. Facility, services, staff and customer service outstanding I only have two suggestions - 1) I would prefer a water choice of room temperature or chilled. 2) Robes were luxurious but prefer the option (especially in the summer months) to have a lightweight robe. My bestie and I were mildly melting prior to our services. I highly recommend Woodhouse Spa - Hoboken. I don't recommend anyone or anything unless you have earned it. Kudos to Alexa at front desk for the greatly appreciated follow up! See you soon!

i’m honestly pretty disappointed in my experience at this spa and this is coming from someone who has spent ample time at luxury spas (I lived in FL and was a member at The Auberge now called Evara Spa). The spa I used to frequent has very similar pricing as well. So I know what quality is appropriate at a spa with luxury pricing. I received services for a Hydro facial with derma flash (dermaplaning without a blade). This is a VERY expensive facial. I paid $462 including 20% gratuity. First, the details matter when you’re paying this much money for an hour long service. I had the last slot of the day (6pm appointment). When I arrived, there was no hot tea set up in the beverage area. this doesn’t seem like a huge deal, but in the intake form they ask you what your favorite drink is I listed chamomile tea and secondly, if there are beverages that are offered to the rest of the patrons, I should get the same, my money is as good as anyone else who came earlier in the day. They did not offer me a beverage upon entry. Second: the locker room. The area with lockers where women strip down and change into robes and sandals has a doorway that is directly in the same plane as the doorway entry to the quiet area with the beverage station. That area doorway is directly in the same plane as the lobby. So, being placed at locker 1 set up with my robe and shoes felt very uncomfortable being that there’s direct line of sight to the lobby while i’m trying to change. This wouldn’t be an issue if the door stayed shut however, a cleaning woman came inside without knocking while I was changing, and I would assume the door is busier during the day when women are coming in and out. It just felt skeevey. I also took a shower to rinse off from my work day commute, and there was no body wash in the shower. They have an ADA compliant shower, imagine if someone with disabilities had to get out of the shower naked, and redress just to go to the lobby to ask for body wash. That seems like a big miss for me. Another huge issue IMO in the locker room was that for every amenity available (salt therapy, sauna, etc.) they were charging $40-$70 for TWENTY MINUTES to use those things, located inside of the locker room. First of all, this place is very outdated (old furniture, no modern touches). At Evara Spa, the entire section of one floor is the women’s locker room with luxury salt therapy room (not a booth like WH), a giant steam room, and a decent size sauna, two quiet areas with tea stations and very nice glassware, champagne, and things like disposable hair brushes that WH doesn’t have or doesn’t come close to. The locker area is also far away from the entryway for privacy at Evara. Now into the service, my tech was pretty nice to me, however if I receive a $400 facial, I expect it to be excellent. But when I left my service, I still had hair filaments all over my face when I paid for dermaplaning. I also had her go over the area a second time to make sure areas weren’t missed around my mouth for example. I also felt like she avoided my nose area because I have a nose piercing however, if you’re going slow that shouldn’t be an issue. My nose is one of my biggest problem areas. I thanked her for being careful in the beginning because it’s a more recent piercing and I didn’t want her to hurt me but again, it’s not abnormal or new and should be able to be worked around. I’m not the only one with a piercing that comes into a spa. This place is incredibly overpriced, outdated, and the staff doesn’t have the bespoke care that this level of spa should have, coming from experience. I won’t be going back as it’s not worth the money unfortunately.
