  My review is not about the salon itself, but about a negative experience I had with one of the stylists, Charles. This was our first visit to the salon. I scheduled an appointment for my daughter to have her hair highlighted, cut, and blown out. The primary reason for booking the appointment was to have her hair blown out for the first day of school, as her regular salon is closed on Mondays. We added the highlights because there was enough time available in the appointment, and I thought it would be more convenient to have everything done during one visit rather than schedule a second appointment later in the week. Before beginning, Charles explained that because my daughter's hair was long, there would be an additional charge for the color. I understood and agreed to the additional cost. However, about halfway through the highlighting process, Charles told us that he was not going to have enough time to blow out her hair. I explained that the blowout was actually the main reason we had booked the appointment. He responded that her hair was too long and that it would take too much time. My concern is that he knew the length of her hair when we arrived and, at the beginning of the appointment, had already discussed the additional time and cost associated with her hair length. If he had explained at that point that there would not be enough time to complete the blowout, I would have gladly skipped the highlights and had only the cut and blowout done. Unfortunately, when I explained this to him, he simply rolled his eyes rather than acknowledging my concern or offering an apology. That response was particularly disappointing and made an already frustrating situation worse. Charles completed the color and wash around 7:45 p.m., while the salon was open until 8:30 p.m. and there were no other customers waiting. Despite this, he still refused to complete the blowout. I understand that appointments can sometimes take longer than expected, but I believe the issue could have been avoided through better communication at the beginning of the appointment. If there was not enough time to complete all three services, we should have been informed before the color was started so we could decide which services were most important. A simple apology and acknowledgment of the misunderstanding would also have gone a long way toward resolving the situation. Unfortunately, the dismissive response left us feeling frustrated and disappointed.

  My son and I love coming to see Mariana. My son is very particular about his hair, especially his bangs. Mariana always makes sure he is comfortable and happy with his haircut by checking in throughout the appointment. She’s such a joy to be around. :) Thanks Mariana!

  Only Mariana knows how to handle my type of hair. I've been to many other hairdressers, but they don't seem to understand how to do ladies short hairstyles.

  Ternille was amazing! She was friendly and gave me the cut I wanted and it looks great! I already booked my next appointment! I would highly recommend her to any future clients!
