Before my appointment, I specifically called to make sure all of my gift cards were correctly attached to each scheduled service. I was assured everything was set up properly. Despite that, they still charged my credit card for a service that had already been paid for with a gift card, resulting in a double charge. What's even more frustrating is that they have been slow to correct their mistake. A billing error on their end should be resolved promptly, yet I've had to spend my own time following up while they continue to hold my money. I expected much better customer service. Mistakes can happen, but how a business handles them matters. Unfortunately, the lack of urgency and accountability has left me with a very poor impression, and I would not recommend this location.

The sweet lady in the front who seems to be just kind and helpful and the masseuer, Joshua, made my first visit here a pleasant and productive one. I say productive because I have pain and muscle tightness throughout my body, sometimes one area is worse than another. Preferring homeopathic, I treat my pain with massage, sauna, infrared, stretching, and exercises. Those last 2 can be tricky, because you do not want to hurt yourself but if you allow certain muscles to get weak, the other muscles must compensate. I told very little to the massage therapist except pain and tightness and basically to stretch what he felt needed it. I regret not inquiring into how long he has been doing this work. He has definitely been doing it for a while. He can feel what needs done. He wants you to have relief and not just for the moment but the long term. When leaving, he gave me stretches to do at home. I did not ask, he offered them. That is how you know they actually care about what they do. I had a deep tissue massage with the stretch addition for 80 min.

My massage appointment was today at 12 PM, and instead of being greeted with a simple “hi” or “how are you,” the receptionist immediately said, “You’re late, your massage was cancelled, and you were charged.” I was honestly startled and confused. She claimed she called twice, but when my husband checked, there was only one missed call at 12:06 PM. I arrived at 12:10 PM, after driving 40 minutes to an hour and leaving my 6-month-old at home. Her attitude throughout the interaction was rude, dismissive, and completely unnecessary. She kept repeating that it was “only a 25-minute massage,” as if that somehow justified the way she was speaking to me. Whether it’s 25 minutes or 1 hour, customer service and basic respect still matter. She also refused to provide her name when asked. The manager, who was on the phone, was much kinder and did offer a refund, which I appreciated. However, after the way I was treated, I refused to ever return there for any service again. Businesses need to understand that rude behavior affects people more than they realize. You never know what kind of day someone is having, and one interaction can completely ruin it. I don’t leave my baby at home and drive that far to be spoken to with disrespect. Hopefully management takes customer service more seriously moving forward.

The NOW has reimagined the approachable luxury of a neighborhood spa with high-quality massages and exclusive enhancements that offer relaxation and healing. Our goal is to offer customizable massage services without the time commitment and cost of a traditional spa.
When should I arrive for my massage?
Please aim to arrive 15 minutes prior to your scheduled massage to permit ample time for check-in. As a courtesy to other members and guests, we must start and end each massage service at the scheduled time; accordingly, we will not be able to extend the time of your service if you arrive late.
How do I book a massage?
You can schedule an appointment online at www.thenowmassage.com, through The NOW Massage app, or by contacting the boutique directly by phone. We also welcome walk-ins, but due to high demand, we recommend scheduling in advance.
How do I cancel a service that I’ve scheduled?
A booked massage can be canceled by logging into your account on the website, through The NOW Massage app, or by calling the boutique. Please be aware of our late cancellation policy. We respectfully request at least 12 hours notice if you need to cancel or rebook your massage appointment. We charge 50% of the reservation made to the credit card on file to compensate our staff for missed wages when there is a last minute cancellation.
What if I fail to show for a scheduled massage or arrive late?
If you miss your appointment or arrive 15 minutes past your scheduled service start time, the service is automatically canceled and the full price of the scheduled service is charged to the credit card on file. To ensure a relaxing experience, and get the full benefits of the massage, we advise guests to arrive on time (or early) for all scheduled appointments.
How can I cancel my membership?
Ritual Members can cancel their recurring dues membership at any time by providing their boutique with 30-days written notice stating the desire to cancel. You may cancel in-person at the boutique or by sending an email to the boutique where your membership was purchased. All boutique contact information can be found under the locations page on our website.
Note: In states where required by applicable law, in addition to the above, you can also choose to cancel your membership through choosing the cancellation option on your membership profile online.
How long do I have to use massage credits?
Membership credits can accrue indefinitely until a Ritual Membership is canceled. Unused massage credits will continue to accrue (i.e., roll-over month-to-month) as long as your membership remains in place. You will have 3 months from the date of cancellation to use any unused massage credits before they expire. No refunds are issued for unused credits.
Can I freeze my membership?
The freeze policy allows you to temporarily suspend your Ritual Membership in accordance with the following terms: You may freeze your membership up to three(3) months per contractual year. Please see our Terms of Service for more details.
Do you accept gift cards?
Yes, we accept gift cards for The NOW Massage services and products. Gift card terms and conditions do apply. For more details on our gift card program, please refer to our Terms of Service.
Do you permit minors to use services?
Yes, unless the state, province or territory prohibit it by law, The NOW Massage makes services available to minors between the ages of 13 and 17. What if I’m not feeling well?
If you are feeling sick or unwell prior to the start of your scheduled massage, we encourage you to stay home. The NOW Massage boutique is an open-space concept and keeping guests and team members safe is everyone’s responsibility. If you begin to feel sick during your treatment, please let your Massage therapist know immediately.
What is the NOW's policy related to cell phone use at the boutique?
We aim to create a safe and relaxing environment for our members and guests. The tranquility offered within our space is paramount. Cell phones can be disruptive and are not encouraged. Although we do allow cell phones at the boutique, we require that the phones be turned off or switched to silent mode upon check-in.
Can I return purchased items?
Yes, if you’ve purchased items in a boutique, we accept returns in original condition (unused, undamaged and unopened in the original packaging) within seven days from the date of purchase. All items purchased in a boutique are only eligible for return or exchange in the same location it was purchased. Because jewelry is made-to-order, jewelry is eligible for exchange only.
If you’ve purchased items online – through The NOW’s website – we accept returns in original conditions (unused, undamaged and unopened in original packaging) provided you first obtain a return authorization number, which you can request by emailing shop@thenowmassage.com. The return authorization number must be written clearly on the outside of the box. Return and exchange shipping costs are the customer’s responsibility and the original shipping charge is nonrefundable.
