First time seeing him, I have never felt comfortable with a male massage therapist at places I went to in the past (tried twice couldn’t relax- not their fault necessarily, just couldn’t do it). But I took a risk and tried again because I needed a massage desperately and asked for any therapist available. I felt calm and relaxed and comfortable, and Josh is professional and makes you feel at ease. I’ll be going back for sure, and feel so happy that I don’t feel limited anymore in terms of choosing a massage therapist. Thank you Now Massage and thank you Josh! :)

My husband purchased the 50-Minute Reset Gift Package for me as a Mother's Day gift, which included two enhancements. When I called to book my appointment for July 28, I clearly told the staff that I was using the gift package and requested the Fresh Eyes enhancement. I planned to choose the second enhancement when I arrived. When I got to my appointment, no one mentioned that the enhancement wouldn't be available. They took me straight back for my massage, and I assumed everything was set. After the massage, I realized I never received the Fresh Eyes enhancement and was never asked to choose my second enhancement. To make matters worse, I waited at the front desk for about 15 minutes just trying to check out because no one was there. I knocked on doors and even called the office phone while standing inside the spa, but no one answered. When the front desk employee finally came out, she was rude and dismissive. She told me they didn't have the products needed for the enhancement at that location. Had I been informed before my massage, I would have happily rescheduled since those enhancements were included in the gift package. Instead, no one said a word until I asked about it afterward. The checkout experience was equally unpleasant. When she asked for the gift card number, I showed it on my phone to avoid reading it incorrectly. Her response was, "I can't see that. That's why I asked you to tell me," in a very rude tone. After I left, I noticed a $3.28 charge on my bank account, even though this was supposed to be a prepaid gift package. I was never told what that charge was for, and I never provided my card information during checkout, which makes it even more confusing. My husband also called afterward hoping to speak with the manager. He was told the manager wasn't there and that they would call him back. That call never came. The massage itself was relaxing, but the customer service completely overshadowed the experience. Poor communication, missing services that were included in the package, rude staff, an unexplained charge, and no follow-up from management are not what I would expect from a business that promotes a premium spa experience.

The NOW has reimagined the approachable luxury of a neighborhood spa with high-quality massages and exclusive enhancements that offer relaxation and healing. Our goal is to offer customizable massage services without the time commitment and cost of a traditional spa.
When should I arrive for my massage?
Please aim to arrive 15 minutes prior to your scheduled massage to permit ample time for check-in. As a courtesy to other members and guests, we must start and end each massage service at the scheduled time; accordingly, we will not be able to extend the time of your service if you arrive late.
How do I book a massage?
You can schedule an appointment online at www.thenowmassage.com, through The NOW Massage app, or by contacting the boutique directly by phone. We also welcome walk-ins, but due to high demand, we recommend scheduling in advance.
How do I cancel a service that I’ve scheduled?
A booked massage can be canceled by logging into your account on the website, through The NOW Massage app, or by calling the boutique. Please be aware of our late cancellation policy. We respectfully request at least 12 hours notice if you need to cancel or rebook your massage appointment. We charge 50% of the reservation made to the credit card on file to compensate our staff for missed wages when there is a last minute cancellation.
What if I fail to show for a scheduled massage or arrive late?
If you miss your appointment or arrive 15 minutes past your scheduled service start time, the service is automatically canceled and the full price of the scheduled service is charged to the credit card on file. To ensure a relaxing experience, and get the full benefits of the massage, we advise guests to arrive on time (or early) for all scheduled appointments.
How can I cancel my membership?
Ritual Members can cancel their recurring dues membership at any time by providing their boutique with 30-days written notice stating the desire to cancel. You may cancel in-person at the boutique or by sending an email to the boutique where your membership was purchased. All boutique contact information can be found under the locations page on our website.
Note: In states where required by applicable law, in addition to the above, you can also choose to cancel your membership through choosing the cancellation option on your membership profile online.
How long do I have to use massage credits?
Membership credits can accrue indefinitely until a Ritual Membership is canceled. Unused massage credits will continue to accrue (i.e., roll-over month-to-month) as long as your membership remains in place. You will have 3 months from the date of cancellation to use any unused massage credits before they expire. No refunds are issued for unused credits.
Can I freeze my membership?
The freeze policy allows you to temporarily suspend your Ritual Membership in accordance with the following terms: You may freeze your membership up to three(3) months per contractual year. Please see our Terms of Service for more details.
Do you accept gift cards?
Yes, we accept gift cards for The NOW Massage services and products. Gift card terms and conditions do apply. For more details on our gift card program, please refer to our Terms of Service.
Do you permit minors to use services?
Yes, unless the state, province or territory prohibit it by law, The NOW Massage makes services available to minors between the ages of 13 and 17. What if I’m not feeling well?
If you are feeling sick or unwell prior to the start of your scheduled massage, we encourage you to stay home. The NOW Massage boutique is an open-space concept and keeping guests and team members safe is everyone’s responsibility. If you begin to feel sick during your treatment, please let your Massage therapist know immediately.
What is the NOW's policy related to cell phone use at the boutique?
We aim to create a safe and relaxing environment for our members and guests. The tranquility offered within our space is paramount. Cell phones can be disruptive and are not encouraged. Although we do allow cell phones at the boutique, we require that the phones be turned off or switched to silent mode upon check-in.
Can I return purchased items?
Yes, if you’ve purchased items in a boutique, we accept returns in original condition (unused, undamaged and unopened in the original packaging) within seven days from the date of purchase. All items purchased in a boutique are only eligible for return or exchange in the same location it was purchased. Because jewelry is made-to-order, jewelry is eligible for exchange only.
If you’ve purchased items online – through The NOW’s website – we accept returns in original conditions (unused, undamaged and unopened in original packaging) provided you first obtain a return authorization number, which you can request by emailing shop@thenowmassage.com. The return authorization number must be written clearly on the outside of the box. Return and exchange shipping costs are the customer’s responsibility and the original shipping charge is nonrefundable.
